Installer Technician

We're looking for someone who has experience installing transport equipment, running fiber, terminating power, performing power taps, and supporting controlled electrical maintenance activities within a live data center or mission-critical environments. This is a long-term career opportunity with room for promotion and advancement!

• Experience working with fiber optic infrastructure and patching
• Experience terminating DC power cables and using power crimping tools
• Experience with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
• Ability to read equipment installation guides, rack elevations, and power diagrams

Data Center & Transport Equipment Installation

• Rack, stack, and secure network and transport equipment in data center environments
• Install, cable, and commission optical transport systems including 1Finity, Ciena, Infinera, and similar platforms
• Install line cards, optics, shelves, chassis, and supporting hardware
• Route, dress, label, and test fiber optic and copper cabling

DC Power & Critical Infrastructure

• Install and terminate DC power cables to transport and network equipment
• Utilize hydraulic and mechanical crimping tools to terminate power conductors
• Perform busway power taps and install power whips as required
• Support A/B power feed installations and verification
• Participate in power-down and power-up activities within live data center environments
• Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and change-management processes
• Verify voltage, polarity, and circuit integrity before energizing equipment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Amarillo, TX.

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
