The Installation Manager oversees a team of subject matter experts to ensure high-quality, safe, and cost-effective product installations. They are responsible for developing training programs, coordinating support for project sites, and driving process improvements across manufacturing and delivery.
With a continous focus on improvement, Dematic is hiring a manager of the installation training and tools team. This person oversees a team of subject matter experts for one or more of the 24 technologies and over 300 products within the Dematic Global Catalog. This person will be responsible for providing direction to the subject matter expert team. The location of this role is flexible, with the capability to travel to customer sites.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be$106,500to$156,200 salary at the time of posting. Final compensation will bedetermined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
Tasks and Qualifications:
What You Will Do in This Role
Manages SME support of Product development, focusing on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People.
SQDCP
Safety - Must be very safety conscious and provide overall product safety leadership.
Quality – Focuses the team on high-quality installations – Done right the first time.
Delivery – Support product development and implementation teams to complete with delivery in a timely manner.
Cost – Tracking effort to provide costing for new products and tracking effort for alignment with real-world applications.
People – Actively train and support project resources and provide feedback to the Resource Team
Manages SME support of Quality, R&D, and Execution teams as it relates to the following
Improvement ideas
Deficiencies in manufacturing or delivery
Improper documentation
Alignment with costing
Installation errors
Required training. Drive reporting to completion through the internal Dematic process.
Development and delivery of product training as it relates to installation.
Coordinate support for product-related emergencies for customers
Coordinate Support for the estimating group with project-specific effects to pricing and schedule as it relates to product expertise.
Actively engage with engineering to standardize execution.
Support other training team-related topics, such as tools and process standards, on project sites.
Coordinate and track audits as to the quality of the product installation.
Coordinate additional assistance with the training of subcontractors in the installation of Dematic and other MHE equipment within the technology of expertise.
What weare lookingfor:
Physically able to traverse construction site environments.
Must be willing to travel on short notice and spend up to 75% of the time traveling.
Associate's Degree preferred or 5 years of experience in a relevant field.
Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and able to navigate MS Project
Project Management Training or knowledge of Project Management Methodologies
Knowledge of Lean Guiding Principles (TIMWOOD- Transportation, Inventory, Motion, Waiting, Overproduction, Overprocessing and Defects)
OSHA training or certificate preferred
Willingness to work weekends as needed.
Must be able to act calmly in stressful situations.
Understanding personal computer hardware setup and software configuration required.
Strong planning and coordination skills with attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and able to navigate MS Project
Project Management Training or knowledge of Project Management Methodologies
