About the Role

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as an advisor to business leaders, aligning talent and workforce priorities with organizational objectives. The HRBP partners closely with leaders and employees to drive organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, performance management, talent development, workforce planning, compensation administration, and compliance initiatives. This role plays a critical part in supporting organizational growth, change management, and value creation initiatives within a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.


Essential Functions:

Employee Relations

  • Serve as a trusted HR advisor on employee relations matters, workplace concerns, and policy interpretation.
  • Conduct employee relations investigations and recommend resolutions.
  • Coach managers on performance, attendance, conduct, and policy-related issues.
  • Review disciplinary actions and termination documentation with the Director of Human Resources.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, and workplace practices.
  • Manage accommodation requests and other assigned employee relations matters.

Performance Management

  • Lead and support performance management programs and review processes.
  • Train and coach managers on performance feedback and employee development.
  • Review performance evaluations for consistency and fairness.
  • Develop, monitor, and support Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs).
  • Facilitate talent calibration discussions and support promotion decisions.

Talent Management & Succession Planning

  • Identify and develop high-potential employees and future leaders.
  • Support career development, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives.
  • Partner with leaders to create and monitor employee development plans.
  • Track internal mobility and promotion trends.

Compensation Support

  • Support compensation programs through market pricing, benchmarking, and pay analysis.
  • Assist with annual merit reviews, bonus planning, and promotional salary recommendations.
  • Prepare compensation analyses and recommendations for leadership review.

Recruiting Partnership

  • Partner with leaders and recruiters on workforce planning and talent acquisition strategies.
  • Maintain job descriptions and advise hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
  • Interview candidates for key positions and support offer review processes.
  • Monitor recruiting effectiveness and hiring metrics.

Talent Analytics & Reporting

  • Analyze workforce data and metrics, including turnover, retention, headcount, performance, promotions, engagement, and time-to-fill.
  • Develop HR dashboards and reports to provide workforce insights and recommendations.
  • Identify trends and support data-driven decision-making.

Change Management

  • Support organizational change, restructuring, acquisitions, and workforce integration initiatives.
  • Assist leaders with change readiness, communication, and transition planning.
  • Support workforce reduction and organizational redesign efforts as needed.

Policy & Compliance

  • Interpret and communicate HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Support handbook updates, compliance training, audits, and recordkeeping requirements.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and recommend necessary policy updates.


Education & Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including experience as a Human Resources Business Partner.
  • Experience supporting multiple business functions and leadership levels.
  • Experience conducting employee relations investigations and managing complex employee relations matters.

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • Experience in private equity-backed, high-growth, manufacturing, distribution, healthcare, or professional services environments.

Preferred Certifications

  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP
  • PHR or SPHR

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Experience with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) and related HR technologies.
  • Knowledge of  ADP applicant tracking systems (ATS) onboarding, performance management, and learning management platforms.
  • Proficient in HR reporting, data analysis, and workforce metrics.
  • Experience maintaining employee records and ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Working knowledge of employment law compliance, HR policies, and HR best practices.
  • Ability to leverage technology to improve HR processes, employee experience, and operational efficiency.

Travel


Up to 10% travel, based on business needs.  While our roles are 100% remote, we do get together a few times a year for up to one week.  Employees are given ample notice and attendance is expected.

This position operates in a professional work environment and requires the use of standard office equipment such as a computer, keyboard, mouse, webcam, and phone.

Pay Transparency Statement 


Staritas posts compensation ranges and benefits for all open roles. The compensation range for this position is $105,000 - $115,000, plus a comprehensive benefits package. Compensation offered will depend on factors including experience, skills, geographic location, and internal equity.
