The HR Business Partner aligns human resources practices with organizational goals and provides support in performance management, compensation, and employee engagement. They serve as the primary contact for employee relations and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
The HR Business Partner provides essential HR support across the organization in various areas, including, but not limited to performance management, compensation planning, employee engagement, and HR systems. This role partners with colleagues across the organization to deliver value-added services that reflect the company’s culture and practices. The HR Business Partner will be responsible for aligning human resources practices with the organization’s goals.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Ensures that all employee information is properly recorded in the HR system
- Serves as a source of knowledge on policies and procedures. This includes our handbook and benefit plans.
- Analyzes trends and metrics to develop recommendations for operational changes.
- Serves as a first point of contact for employee relations issues so employees can focus on doing their best work and foster prosperous careers.
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Partner with leaders to develop and execute people strategies that support business goals and organizational growth.
- Ensures that our HR practices comply with state and federal regulations in the several states where we have employees.
- Supporting employees with their requests for FMLA and Leave of Absences, so their time away is properly tracked in our systems.
- Supports employee recognition programs and organization cultural efforts
- Lead the design, administration, and continuous improvement of the company's Mentor/Mentee Program.
- Ensure successful onboarding experiences that promote engagement and early productivity.
- Responsible for providing and maintaining extraordinary levels of service through a high level of execution and prioritizing of duties.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a business-related field is highly preferred, but not required.
- 4-6 years of previous experience in working in a Human Resources function.
- Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint.
- Previous experience using payroll or HRIS systems such as Rippling, BambooHR, Paycor, Workday
Skills & Experience:
- Effectively manages time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently, and performance goals are met.
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines such as employee relations, performance management, engagement, diversity, and federal and state employment laws
- Ability to work with limited direction, extremely proactive, highly driven, and self- directed.
- Demonstrate interpersonal savvy behaviors to communicate persuasively, build credibility, and interpret verbal and non-verbal behavior.
- Communicate accurately and appropriately with other employees and vendors in a timely and professional manner.
