Centre for Research on Energy and Clean Air is looking for an energetic, proactive, and detail-oriented candidate to join its team in a Finance, HR and Administration role. The role will support the smooth functioning of day-to-day financial, human resources, and administrative processes, working closely with internal teams and external partners across diverse geographies.
Candidates should have 1–3 years of relevant experience in finance, HR, administration, or operations, preferably within the development sector. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of basic financial and administrative processes, including invoice processing, accounts payable and receivable, financial record-keeping, billing and payments, payroll coordination, and cash flow management. The role will also support key HR processes, including drafting and processing employment and service contracts, maintaining personnel records, and tracking annual leave.
The candidate should have strong organisational and coordination skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to maintain accurate records and handle financial and personnel information with discretion. They should be comfortable working collaboratively with internal teams and external service providers, managing multiple priorities, and ensuring that processes are completed accurately and on time.

Language skills: high level of fluency in English, and sufficient fluency in Finnish to handle practical administrative matters.
Education: bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Support day-to-day finance operations, including processing invoices and assisting with accounts payable and receivable
Help maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth billing and payment processes
To support monthly payroll processes with external partners
To support cash flow management
Draft and process employment and service contracts
Keeping track of annual leave days and personnel records
Your key competencies
Proven experience in financial operations, preferably within a non-profit or international context
1–3 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field
Basic understanding of financial processes such as invoicing, payments, and reconciliations
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Organised and reliable, with the ability to manage multiple tasks
Ability to work independently in a fully remote, global team
Nice to have
Experience in cloud-based accounting tools (Netvisor)
Experience in international payroll and multi-currency environments.
Understanding of Finnish bookkeeping rules and regulations
