About the Hiring Company:

We are a B2B sportsbook technology platform with R&D in Bulgaria, powering operators across Europe and Latin America. We are entering a defined transformation period: rebuilding the foundations of the product and the operation with senior people who lead, and AI and automation built behind them, before the next phase of growth.

The company prices and manages risk across a rapidly growing volume of GGR for operators in Europe and Latin America. This role exists to build the best models in the market: pricing and risk models, and the model-driven features operators win with, with bet builder (same-game pricing), cash-out valuation and market availability best in class. Working hand in hand with the R&D trading teams, the role moves the book to automated pricing and risk in gated stages, each proven in production before the next, and defines what the trading function of the future looks like.

Job Requirements:

• Build and lead the quant team: in-play and pre-match pricing models, risk and liability models, and the trading automation lead who redesigns process around them

• Own the models behind best-in-class product features: bet builder and same-game pricing, cash-out valuation, personalisation and market availability

• Set the automation sequence with the VP R&D Trading and the Chief Trading Officer: which markets, sports and processes automate first, and the evidence required at each gate

• Own model quality (margin, hold, price accuracy and market availability) against the current baseline

• Work hand in hand with the R&D trading teams and the AI core on productionising models and on the data platform behind them

• Redefine the role of the human trader: from price-setter to model supervisor and exception handler

What Success Looks Like in the Next 12 Months:

• Autonomous in-play football pricing live on an initial market set, holding margin through a full season in parallel with the existing desk

• Automated risk and liability limits in production, with human override and full auditability

• Clear gated roadmap for the remaining sports and markets, each with its evidence standard

• Bet builder and cash-out pricing measurably best in class against leading operators

• Trading operating model redesigned around automation, agreed with Trading leadership

• Market availability and pricing quality measurably improved for operators

The Successful Candidate:

• Has built or run automated pricing and risk models at scale; sportsbook or high-frequency trading model experience strongly preferred

• Deep quantitative background (statistics, machine learning, stochastic modelling) with hands-on modelling ability

• Has taken pricing models from research into live production books and understands the operational and cultural side of model-driven trading

• Rigorous about measurement: knows how to prove a model holds before trusting it with the book

• AI-first in the way they work: AI tooling is the default in modelling, research and development, and they expect the same of the team

• Credible with traders and with engineers alike
