AI Summary

The Head of Growth will own the B2B demand-generation strategy, managing paid acquisition, content, and website conversion to drive qualified pipeline. They will analyze performance data to optimize the acquisition funnel and inform budget allocation and experimentation.

Location: London Full time or Remote
Salary: £90,000–£110,000 per year

An ambitious technology business serving the eCommerce market is looking for a commercially minded, highly analytical Head of Growth. This is an opportunity to build a demand-generation function, test your ideas and take ownership of the results.

You’ll market a technology solution to decision-makers within eCommerce businesses, rather than consumers. The objective is clear: generate qualified pipeline that converts into paying business customers.

The role

Reporting directly to the founder, you’ll own growth strategy and execution across paid acquisition, content, positioning and website conversion.

This is a senior individual contributor role, not a position focused solely on managing a team. You’ll need to move comfortably between analysing performance, setting priorities and getting campaigns live.

We’re looking for someone who combines commercial judgement with analytical depth: someone who questions assumptions, identifies where the funnel is underperforming and uses evidence to decide what to test, improve or stop.

What you’ll own

  • Build a B2B demand-generation strategy with a clear connection between marketing investment, qualified opportunities and customer acquisition.

  • Manage paid campaigns across LinkedIn, Meta and emerging channels, testing audiences, messaging and creative to identify what delivers commercially.

  • Analyse the acquisition funnel to understand conversion rates, cost per sales-qualified lead and the speed at which opportunities progress.

  • Translate performance data into decisions about budget allocation, campaign priorities and further experimentation.

  • Develop content that helps business buyers understand the product’s value, including customer stories, industry insights and sales-supporting materials.

  • Refine positioning and messaging so the business stands out to relevant eCommerce decision-makers.

  • Improve search visibility, landing pages and website conversion, working closely with the founder on content and website updates.

  • Establish clear reporting that shows what is generating pipeline and customers—not simply activity or engagement.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience leading growth or demand generation within a scaling B2B business, with measurable customer acquisition results.

  • A highly analytical, data-led approach, with the ability to turn findings into practical commercial decisions.

  • A track record of structured experimentation: developing hypotheses, testing them and applying what you learn.

  • Hands-on experience in paid acquisition, alongside an understanding of how content, positioning and conversion work together.

  • Confidence explaining which metrics matter, what they reveal and where investment should go next.

  • The ability to balance longer-term strategy with the pace and practical demands of a growing business.

  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to work directly with a founder.

  • An understanding of eCommerce businesses and how to engage buyers of technology and marketing solutions.

Why this opportunity?

You’ll have the scope to shape how growth happens, rather than simply maintain an existing marketing plan. Your analysis will inform priorities, your experiments will influence investment, and your work will have a direct connection to commercial performance.

For someone who has helped a business scale and wants a hands-on role with meaningful ownership, this is an opportunity to put that experience to work.

Our client is an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from people of all backgrounds. Applications will be assessed on relevant skills, experience and suitability for the role.

If you have not heard from us within two weeks of submitting your application, please assume that your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion.
