The Opportunity
RediMinds is building AI-powered technology and decision infrastructure for some of healthcare’s most complex administrative and clinical workflows.
We are now looking for an exceptional Head of Federal Healthcare Growth to build and lead our federal healthcare business.
This is not a traditional capture management role. We are looking for a senior federal growth leader with deep experience winning complex healthcare technology contracts and the relationships, judgment and entrepreneurial drive to build a federal program from the ground up.
You will own RediMinds’ federal strategy from market development through contract win, initially focused on CMS, the Defense Health Agency (DHA), the Social Security Administration (SSA) and Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). You will identify and shape opportunities, build senior agency and industry relationships, establish teaming strategies, lead major captures and help position RediMinds to increasingly compete as a prime federal technology contractor.
For the right person, this is an opportunity to build something significant rather than inherit it.
What You Will Own
Build our federal healthcare strategy
- Develop and continuously refine RediMinds’ federal healthcare growth strategy, initially focused on CMS, DHA and SSA.
- Translate agency priorities, funding, procurement activity and mission needs into a focused portfolio of opportunities where RediMinds can genuinely differentiate.
- Develop a multi-year path from strategic subcontracting and teaming to increasingly competing as a prime contractor.
Build the pipeline
- Develop a high-quality, multi-year federal opportunity pipeline with clear qualification criteria, capture plans and executive visibility.
- Identify opportunities early, ideally well before an RFI or RFP is released.
- Make disciplined bid/no-bid recommendations based on strategic fit, probability of win, economics and delivery feasibility.
Build trusted relationships
- Develop and leverage deep relationships across federal healthcare agencies, program offices, contracting organizations, major primes, integrators and ecosystem partners.
- Establish RediMinds as a credible, trusted technology partner with senior federal stakeholders.
- Create strategic teaming relationships that strengthen near-term competitiveness while supporting our longer-term prime ambitions.
Shape and win
- Own priority opportunities from early shaping through negotiation and award.
- Lead capture strategy, competitive positioning, win themes, teaming strategy, pricing strategy and executive engagement.
- Work closely with technical, clinical, product, security and proposal teams to translate RediMinds’ capabilities into compelling federal solutions.
- Ensure proposals respond not only to stated requirements but to the underlying mission and operational problems agencies are trying to solve.
- Lead RediMinds through negotiations and the transition from successful capture to the implementation team.
Build the federal growth capability
- Establish the processes, tools, relationships and operating cadence required to create a repeatable federal growth engine.
- Help determine which contract vehicles, certifications, partnerships and capabilities RediMinds needs to compete effectively.
- Partner closely with leadership as RediMinds advances its federal security and compliance posture, including its path toward FedRAMP.
- Over time, help build the federal business development, capture and proposal capabilities required to support a growing portfolio.
What Success Looks Like
During your first 12–24 months, we would expect you to:
- Establish a clear federal healthcare market strategy across CMS, DHA and SSA.
- Build a substantial, well-qualified multi-year pipeline of federal healthcare technology opportunities.
- Establish meaningful relationships with senior agency stakeholders, contracting organizations, primes and strategic partners.
- Position RediMinds upstream of major procurements so that we are helping shape opportunities rather than simply responding to them.
- Win our first significant federal healthcare technology contracts and create a repeatable path to additional wins.
- Establish the teaming, contracting and capture infrastructure needed for RediMinds to increasingly compete as a prime.
- Build a federal growth capability that can scale beyond any one person or opportunity.
The Person We Are Looking For
You are a senior federal healthcare growth leader who knows how federal business is actually won.
You have spent your career close to federal customers and understand the difference between identifying an RFP and shaping an opportunity years before it becomes one. You have personally led major captures, know the federal procurement ecosystem deeply and bring an established network of relationships that allows you to begin creating opportunities quickly.
At the same time, you are entrepreneurial. You are energized by building a business, creating structure where little exists today and working directly with senior executives, technologists and subject matter experts to turn emerging capabilities into major federal programs.
Required Experience
- Significant senior-level experience in federal business development, capture or growth, with a strong track record of winning federal healthcare and/or healthcare technology contracts.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex federal opportunities from market identification and shaping through capture, proposal, negotiation and award.
- Deep existing relationships across federal healthcare agencies and the broader federal contracting ecosystem.
- Strong familiarity with one or more of CMS/HHS, DHA/DoD healthcare , VA and SSA, with experience across multiple target agencies strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage a significant federal opportunity pipeline.
- Experience developing teaming strategies and working effectively with major federal primes, systems integrators and technology partners.
- Strong understanding of federal acquisition processes, procurement mechanisms and contract vehicles.
- Experience positioning differentiated technology solutions within complex mission environments.
- Executive-level communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish credibility with both government leaders and internal technical teams.
- A record of personal accountability for major contract wins, not simply participation in the capture process.
Especially Valuable
Experience with any of the following would be particularly valuable:
- AI, data, healthcare technology or digital transformation programs.
- Healthcare administrative modernization, claims, eligibility, clinical review, prior authorization, payment integrity or related workflows.
- Building a federal business or major federal practice from an early stage.
- Helping a commercial technology company enter or expand within the federal market.
- Prime contractor strategy and progression from subcontractor or teaming partner to prime.
- FedRAMP, federal cloud security requirements and the technology compliance environment.
- Large-scale federal healthcare modernization programs.
