About the Role
As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will work closely with front-end and back-end developers, business stakeholders, and internal and external customers to build and maintain cloud-based and on-premises applications. You will contribute to development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement efforts while ensuring applications are secure, scalable, accessible, and optimized for performance.
What You'll Do
Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Liberty Dental Plan's web and mobile web applications
Build and support both cloud-based and on-premises solutions
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, review, and clarify business requirements
Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including planning, coding, testing, code reviews, deployment, and maintenance
Develop and maintain backend APIs and system integrations
Troubleshoot application issues and provide timely, high-quality resolutions
Perform operational support and application maintenance activities
Create tools and automation solutions to improve workflows and efficiency
Design and execute test plans, automated tests, manual tests, and validation processes
Implement and support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Ensure compliance with security standards, governance requirements, and software development best practices
Partner effectively with internal teams, external customers, vendors, and key stakeholders
Drive continuous improvements and user experience enhancements across applications
Stay current with emerging technologies and modern development practices
What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
Minimum 5 years of experience developing full-stack web applications
Minimum 3 years of experience designing digital customer experiences
Strong understanding of web frameworks, APIs, databases, and backend technologies
Knowledge of software engineering best practices, including:
Coding standards
Code reviews
Source control management
Build processes
Testing methodologies
Application operations and maintenance
Strong understanding of user experience principles and usability best practices
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Technical Experience

Location
Our employees are distributed in office locations in multiple markets across the United States. We are unable to hire or allow employees to work outside of the United States.

Compensation
In the spirit of pay transparency, the base salary range for this position is $125,000 - $140,000, not including fringe benefits or potential bonuses. At Liberty, your final base salary will be determined by factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and experience. We are committed to pay equity and also consider the internal equity of our current team members when making final compensation decisions.
Please note that the range listed represents the full base salary range for this role. Typically, offers are not made at the top of the range to allow for future salary growth.
