We are seeking a talented freelance German Translator to join our team for 5 to 10 hours per week in a fully remote setup and support our hydration journey in the DACH region. In this role, you'll be instrumental in bringing our brand’s unique voice to life, ensuring all customer-facing materials are accurately and engagingly translated for our German-speaking audience.

As a freelance German Translator (m/f/d) at waterdrop®, you will take charge of localizing our brand's voice for our German-speaking online shop. Your work will focus on our direct-to-consumer marketing, mainly ads and landing pages.

Your responsibilities at waterdrop®:

• You ensure accuracy and consistency of terminology and tone in all translated materials, aligning with waterdrop’s brand voice.

• You localize persuasive ad and landing page copy that encourages action and drives sales and growth, while carrying the stories that make people feel connected to our brand.

• You provide proofreading and quality checks on translated content.

• You support any urgent translation needs for product launches or time-sensitive campaigns.

Your strengths and qualifications:

• You’re a detail-oriented freelancer who thrives on creating creative, engaging translations that convey our tone of voice.

• You work comfortably and efficiently on your own, taking full ownership of your projects and meeting deadlines with ease.

• Ideally, you have a background in translations e.g. having studied Translation Studies is a plus!

• Ideally, you bring experience in SEO copywriting, with a knack for maximizing keyword impact.

• Ideally, you bring experience translating performance marketing or ad copy.

• Native proficiency in German and fluency in English are required; additional languages are a plus.
