This job is performed fully remotely in India for a US-based company through an Employer of Record. The candidate must be legally authorized to work in India and willing to work US-based hours.

About The Role
The Financial Specialist is responsible for supporting financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities across the organization. In a private equity–backed environment, this role plays a critical part in driving data-informed decision-making, enhancing financial performance, and supporting value creation initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical rigor, business acumen, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, results-oriented setting with high visibility to senior leadership and investors.
What You'll Do
- Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial planning processes, including budgeting and forecasting
- Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to leadership
- Prepare and deliver variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior periods
- Assist in building and maintaining financial models to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions
- Partner with cross-functional teams to understand business drivers and improve financial outcomes
- Support preparation of board materials and investor reporting packages
- Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting and insights to support executive decision-making
- Collaborate with department leaders to develop budgets and track performance against targets
- Support cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in finance, investment banking, consulting, or a related field (PE-backed or high-growth environment preferred)
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (CPA/CFA a plus)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, and performance-driven environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams
- Experience with financial planning tools and ERP systems preferred
