Financial Reporting Vice President

We're looking for someone who has lived the SEC reporting process, knows DFIN, and is excited to help build an industry-leading service offering up. 

Your key responsibilities are to deliver white glove service and honor the FSG Principles while:

• Support the Director in growing and leading FSG's Financial Reporting practice
• Lead the implementation of scalable processes for timely, accurate fund financial statements and SEC filings
• Prepare, review, and coordinate the filing of Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and other required SEC filings through DFIN ActiveDisclosure
• Lead and mentor team members committed to quality, accountability, and client service
• Serve as a key resource for SEC reporting requirements, filings, and best practices, accounting requirements and regulatory changes
• Coordinate with clients, auditors, counsel, and internal teams to deliver complete, accurate and timely reporting
• Participate in creating workflows, documentation, controls, and training that scale the practice efficiently
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve reporting processes through automation, technology, and operational efficiencies
• Stay current on FASB / SEC reporting developments and incorporate relevant changes into filings and processes
• Partner with the Director to evolve the SEC Financial Reporting service offering as the business grows                            

Our requirements for you as an applicant are simple:

• 5 - 7 years of hands-on experience preparing and reviewing fund financial reports for non-public funds and SEC filings for registered investment companies.
• Experience implementing, documenting, and improving processes to enhance quality, consistency, and efficiency 
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and financial statement presentation.
• Ability to lead projects and make sound decisions with appropriate guidance
• A passion for teaching, mentoring, and helping others succeed
• Commitment to understanding, learning, and asking the extra question that leads to better outcomes
• Exceptional written communication skills and an exacting attention to detail
• A collaborative approach that values relationships just as much as technical expertise

• Base salary commensurate with experience and success: The annual base salary range for this position is $115,000 to $150,000
• Quarterly bonus that offers unlimited potential growth - 1/3rd of our profits (no matter how much) are shared with our team in bonuses each quarter

We are primarily a remote work company, but some of the training for this role may be best delivered in-person leveraging client sites or local coworking locations. Our clients also ask us to provide on-site support from time-to-time. In the interview process, we can outline expectations about what, if any, in-person training or support time is expected to be required for this role.
