Your Role at Manion

What to Expect

  • As a Financial Analyst, you will prepare monthly financial statements, supporting schedules, and year-end audit files for assigned trust fund accounts, providing financial information to the Board of Trustees and various stakeholders to support trust fund oversight and strategic planning.
  • You will report to the Supervisor, Financial Analyst, and work closely with internal departments, external auditors, and client groups to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines, with additional hours expected during audit season from February through April.

What You Will Do

  • Prepare monthly financial statements and year-end audit files for assigned groups, including the Client Experience and Development Department, Board of Trustees, and trust fund external auditors, using Sage Intacct and Microsoft Excel
  • Gather required information from client minutes, memos, departments, meetings, MPACS, and reports, and investigate and resolve data or transaction issues as they arise
  • Support external auditors during interim and year-end fieldwork, follow up on audit completion, file completed audits with relevant government regulators, and attend draft audit review and trustee meetings as needed
  • Reconcile vacation mass payouts and assist with the preparation of annual audit filings

What You Bring to the Team

  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field
  • 3 or more years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or a related field
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP or XLOOKUP, as well as other Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and identify discrepancies
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly to a range of audiences
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively

  • Financial Reporting and Technical Proficiency: Demonstrates proficiency in preparing accurate financial statements and reports. Maintains compliance with accounting standards and assists in audits and regulatory reporting. Effectively uses tools, software, systems, and technical knowledge relevant to the role.

Your Compensation

At the time of this posting, the estimated pay for this position is $45,000-$50,000. Individual compensation within this range is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and education/training. This range reflects the base pay and does not encompass our comprehensive total rewards and benefits, that we proudly offer.
