Lead day-to-day financial operations including the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes in accordance with US GAAP. Oversee transactional operations, regulatory filings, and supervise junior accounting staff to ensure operational efficiency.

Job Summary

Advanced Asset Management is seeking a hands-on, execution-focused Finance Manager to lead our day-to-day financial operations. In this role, you will be deeply involved in the machinery of our accounting and finance functions—ensuring precise execution of financial reporting, transaction processing, treasury tasks, and regulatory compliance. Rather than purely high-level strategy, this position requires a manager who loves diving into data, troubleshooting operational bottlenecks, managing the accounting close cycle, and implementing strict financial controls to support our growing asset management operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Core Accounting Execution: Oversee and actively participate in the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring all financial data is processed accurately and timely in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Transactional Operations: Monitor and manage daily cash positioning, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger activities to maintain flawless operational flow.
  • Reporting & Compliance: Prepare accurate, detailed financial statements and regulatory compliance filings specific to financial services, ensuring total alignment with internal controls.
  • Audit & Tax Execution: Direct the coordination and delivery of documentation for internal and external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.
  • Process Implementation: Standardize financial processes and system workflows to eliminate redundancies and improve operational efficiency across the firm's portfolio.
  • Team Supervision: Directly supervise junior accounting staff, reviewing journal entries, bank reconciliations, and payroll processing to ensure exceptional accuracy.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Active CPA or CMA certification is highly advantageous.
  • Experience: 2+ years of progressive corporate finance experience, with a clear history of managing day-to-day accounting execution. Experience within asset management, wealth management, or private equity is preferred.
  • Technical Mastery: Deep hands-on proficiency with ERP software (e.g., Quickbooks, Entrata, Yadi) and advanced data extraction/manipulation in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, Power Query).
  • Execution Mindset: Proven ability to manage a high volume of transactions, meet strict closing deadlines, and multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to data reconciliation, financial workflows, and error detection.

Benefits & Package

  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
  • Fully Remote
  • 12 Paid Time Off (PTO) and company holidays.
  • Support for continuous professional certification and training.
