High Tide Technologies is looking for a Field Service Technician to become a trusted technical expert for our customers and distributors across North America. This is not a desk job. You'll be in the field commissioning systems, solving real-world challenges, delivering hands-on training, and helping customers get the most from industry-leading SCADA, telemetry, and remote monitoring solutions.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting technical problems, working directly with customers, and helping others build confidence with technology. You'll have the opportunity to travel throughout North America, work with critical infrastructure systems, and make a visible impact on customer success.

Salary: $85,000

Location: Remote

Travel Requirement: Approximately 50% travel to distributor locations, customer sites, trade events, and training facilities throughout North America. 

What You’ll Do:

As a key member of our Technical Services team, you'll serve as both a technical problem solver and educator.

You'll:

  • Install, commission, and troubleshoot SCADA, telemetry, and remote monitoring systems.
  • Help customers solve communications, networking, hardware, and software challenges.
  • Travel throughout North America supporting customers and distributor partners.
  • Deliver engaging technical training programs in classroom, virtual, and hands-on environments.
  • Mentor distributor technicians and help build their technical confidence.
  • Partner with Engineering, Product Development, and Sales teams to improve customer outcomes.
  • Serve as a technical ambassador for High Tide Technologies in the field.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Associate degree in Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Technology, Computer Networking, Engineering Technology, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 3+ years of experience in technical support, field service, industrial automation, controls, SCADA, telemetry, or related industries.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills involving electrical, communications, networking, or software systems.
  • The ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Confidence presenting to groups and leading training sessions.
  • A willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time throughout North America.
  • A valid driver's license.

  • SCADA systems
  • PLCs and industrial controls
  • Water or wastewater applications
  • Cellular communications, radios, VPNs, and industrial networking
  • Technical training or instructional delivery
  • Distributor or channel partner support

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work outdoors and in industrial environments.

  • Ability to travel by automobile and air for extended periods.
