The Opportunity

Galore Creek Mining Corporation (GCMC) is seeking a highly organized and service-oriented Field Operations Coordinator to support the planning and execution of our seasonal field programs.

In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating workforce logistics, travel and accommodations, onboarding activities, contractor administration, scheduling, and camp readiness. You will work closely with employees, contractors, service providers, and project teams to ensure people, resources, and information are in place to support safe and efficient field operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys coordinating complex logistics, solving problems, and helping create a positive experience for the people working at site. You'll play an important role in supporting one of Canada's largest undeveloped copper-gold-silver projects while gaining exposure to a wide range of operational activities.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate employee, contractor, and visitor travel, accommodations, and site access logistics.
  • Maintain workforce schedules, rotations, and personnel movement tracking.
  • Support the mobilization and demobilization of field personnel.
  • Coordinate onboarding requirements and pre-site readiness activities.
  • Administer time and attendance tracking processes and workforce records.
  • Support contractor administration and documentation management.
  • Maintain operational databases, reports, and workforce planning information.
  • Liaise with employees, contractors, camp providers, transportation providers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support camp readiness and seasonal field program preparation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve coordination processes, systems, and administrative efficiency.

Education & Professional Qualifications

  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered. Diploma, certificate, or degree in Business Administration, Project Coordination, Logistics, Operations, Hospitality, or a related discipline is considered an asset.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with workforce scheduling, accommodations management, camp management, or related systems is considered an asset

Experience

  • Minimum two years of experience in workforce scheduling, logistics coordination, travel planning, accommodations management, project coordination, or operational administration.
  • Experience supporting field operations, remote workforces, or project-based environments.
  • Experience coordinating personnel, resources, or logistics across multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience within mining, exploration, construction, forestry, oil and gas, hospitality, event planning, travel, or similar industries is considered an asset.
  • Experience working in remote camps or northern operational environments is considered an asset
