Job Summary
The Executive Protection Medic — Lead Agent is an experienced Security and Executive Protection professional who is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the detail and the implementation of protective and medical strategies while supporting the Client. This is a dual-hatted leadership role: the Lead Agent directs and executes protective operations for the detail while simultaneously serving as the embedded advanced medical provider, delivering both disciplines to the same high standard under Crisis24's protective and Global Medical Concierge Practice (GMCP) programs.
Schedule: this position will operate on a 10-days on, 10-days off travel rotation.
Location: while on rotation, candidate will be based in Marin County, CA but otherwise can reside anywhere within the United States.
What You Will Do
Detail Leadership & Executive Protection
- Be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the detail and the implementation of protective and medical strategies while supporting the Client.
- Ensure the overall safety and security of the Client, including Key Personnel and employees.
- Provide Corporate Security, Secure Transportation Operations, Executive Protection, and advance work.
- Effectively build relationships and communicate with key staff and employee stakeholders.
- Always maintain discretion and confidentiality.
- Work irregular or extended hours, including shifts on nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Partner with intelligence and investigations teams, global security operations center (GSOC) assets, other private security firms, and local law enforcement to proactively identify and mitigate threats.
- Detect and report suspicious activity and security vulnerabilities to Key Personnel.
- Operate effectively in a dynamic, multifaceted, and fast-paced environment.
- Remain available to respond to off-hour emergencies.
Medical Response Duties
- Provide proactive and responsive medical services for Client beneficiaries, within the scope of practice and with adherence to medical direction, policies, protocols, and training requirements, including:
- Following policies and procedures as outlined by the Crisis24 Global Medical Concierge Practice (“GMCP”) clinical governance program.
- Providing immediate response to medical emergencies and urgent issues, including assessment, stabilization, and/or treatment of patients within the scope of practice, utilizing approved protocols, training, and direction from Crisis24 Physician staff.
- Ensuring timely communication of all medical encounters and immediate escalation of serious illness or injury to the Crisis24 physician team.
- Documenting all cases and encounters accurately, thoroughly, and in a timely manner within the GMCP-approved medical record system.
- Ensure ongoing coordination and integration with the Crisis24 GMCP Private Client Team for ongoing medical care, travel assessments and advisories, Client medical equipment, Client medical training, and overall medical program management.
Certifications, Licensure & Compliance
- Maintain the following minimum training, certifications, and licenses:
- Paramedic License
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- PHTLS
- Respiratory Fit Test and Hepatitis B Series/positive titer (as applicable)
- Participate in annual (or more frequent) HIPAA and GDPR training and ensure all regulations are followed.
Client Service & Medical Facility Management
- Provide the highest standard of positive and professional customer service to members throughout all interactions.
- Respond to medical inquiries via email, telephone, video, or in person in a timely and professional manner, always conscious of HIPAA requirements and member preferences/permissions.
- Utilize approved medical equipment sets and supplies, as indicated by the Crisis24 physician team.
- Conduct safety inspections, ensuring first aid kits, security measures, and medical protocols are up to date and compliant.
- Perform cleaning, care, and disinfection of medical facilities and workspaces.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Will Bring
Required Medical Qualifications
- Current and active State and/or NREMT Paramedic certification.
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and PHTLS certifications.
- Respiratory Fit Test and Hepatitis B Series/positive titer, as applicable.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in one or more of the following: 911 ALS response, Critical Care Transport, tactical/austere/remote medicine, Executive Protection medicine, or an emergency department/equivalent operational environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain state licensure in multiple jurisdictions.
Required Executive Protection & Leadership Qualifications
- Prior military, law enforcement, executive protection, or special operations experience strongly preferred and heavily weighted in candidate evaluation.
- Demonstrated experience leading or directing day-to-day detail operations, including advanced work, secure transportation, and threat mitigation.
- Experience interacting with high-net-worth individuals, executives, and their families in a protective or client-facing capacity.
- Ability to operate as a credible, working leader of a protective detail, not solely in a supporting medical capacity.
- Sound judgment, discretion, and composure operating near principals in high-visibility or high-risk settings.
General Requirements
- Valid BSIS Guard Card
- Valid BSIS Exposed Firearms Permit (Highly Desired)
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Valid U.S. Passport with the ability to travel internationally.
- Successful completion of background investigation and drug screening.
- Ability to deploy domestically and internationally on short notice.
- Willingness and ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and to remain available for off-hours emergencies.
- Physical readiness and fitness level are consistent with the demands of protective and austere medical operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- California CCW or LEOSA
- Critical Care Paramedic (FP-C, CCP-C) certification.
- Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, PHTLS, TECC, or TCCC.
- AMLS, PEPP, EPC, or equivalent advanced medical certifications.
- Formal executive/close protection training or certification (e.g., EP/CP academy, dignitary protection course).
- Firearms proficiency and/or defensive tactics training relevant to protective operations.
- Defensive/evasive driving training.
- Experience working in remote, austere, or international environments.
- Incident command, emergency management, or crisis response training.
