S&E Tile Expert Consulting | Remote

Position Overview

S&E Tile Expert Consulting is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to support the team with preparing accurate and professional project estimates.

The primary responsibility of this position will be to prepare and write estimates for tile and related projects, utilizing QuickBooks and the company's existing processes. The ideal candidate will have strong estimating experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while producing accurate estimates in a timely manner.

This position can be performed remotely and is well suited for an experienced estimator who can step into an existing workflow and provide reliable support to the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed estimates for tile and related projects.
  • Enter and maintain estimates using QuickBooks.
  • Review project information, measurements, materials, labor requirements, and other relevant details needed to produce accurate estimates.
  • Calculate project costs and pricing accurately.
  • Organize and maintain estimating documentation and records.
  • Review estimates for accuracy and completeness before submitting them for approval.
  • Communicate with the team to clarify project specifications, scope, pricing, or missing information.
  • Make adjustments to estimates as project details or requirements change.
  • Maintain consistent estimating practices and follow established company processes.
  • Meet deadlines and provide estimates in a timely manner.
  • Assist with additional administrative or estimating-related tasks as needed.

Ideal Candidate

  • Previous professional experience in construction estimating, preferably within tile, flooring, remodeling, or a related trade.
  • Strong experience creating detailed project estimates.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks and experience using it for estimating or related financial/project functions.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to understand project scope, materials, labor, and associated costs.
  • Highly organized with strong time-management skills.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Dependable, responsive, and able to meet established deadlines.
