The Enterprise Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Program Manager develops and manages programs meant to protect associate health and safety and promote environmental compliance throughout the enterprise. This position is eligible for considerations for remote work.

Essential Duties: 

  • Conduct EHS audits of facilities to identify opportunities for improvement, develop recommendations, and partner with local teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Lead initiatives that impact the adoption and implementation of EHS programs, practices, and procedures throughout the organization
  • Execute EHS Program requirements to ensure compliance with applicable laws,regulations , and permits 
  • Review EHS systems for technical accuracy and effectiveness and direct corrective action as appropriate
  • Serve Operations as an in-house EHS consultant by, among other things, translating technical EHS requirements into practical guidance useable by personnel not expert in EHS matters
  • Interface with regulators such as OSHA, EPA, and state and local authorities (in coordination with local Operations teams) 
  • Drive timely and accurate monthly EHS process management leading and lagging indicator measurement reporting across the Enterprise
  • Concisely escalate EHS program management issues to upper management
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from an accredited college preferred 
  • 5+ years related experience 
  • Adobe Acrobat (pdf), Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and other Microsoft Office Suite knowledge. Ability to learn various safety management tracking systems.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA, EPA, and state-specific regulatory standards
  • Strong people skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Must be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which are subject to evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Requires up to 20% out of state travel.
