Employee Experience Internship

The Employee Experience Intern supports initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, culture, communications, and organizational effectiveness across Rackspace. This role provides hands-on experience working with leaders and teams to create meaningful employee experiences, enhance communication, and foster connection across the organization.

The intern will contribute to projects that help Rackers better understand company priorities, engage with one another, and navigate change while gaining exposure to multiple areas within Human Resources and employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Experience & Culture

• Support programs and initiatives that strengthen culture, engagement, recognition, and connection across Rackspace.
• Assist with gathering employee feedback and identifying opportunities to improve the employee experience.
• Research and recommend ideas to enhance employee engagement and community-building efforts.

Internal Communications

• Assist in developing content for internal communication channels, including InsideRack, Viva Engage, and newsletters.
• Support communication campaigns that inform, engage, and connect Rackers to company priorities and culture.
• Help identify and share employee stories that reinforce company values and strategic priorities.

Events & Leadership Engagement

• Support planning and execution of employee engagement programs, leadership forums, and company-wide events.
• Assist with communications, logistics, content preparation, and post-event follow-up activities.
• Partner with stakeholders across HR and the business to help deliver high-impact employee experiences.

Content & Digital Engagement

• Create content that supports employee awareness, engagement, and organizational culture.
• Assist with social and digital storytelling initiatives that showcase the employee experience and strengthen internal communications.
• Monitor engagement metrics and provide recommendations to improve content effectiveness.

Qualifications: 

• Current enrollment in a four-year university as a senior in classification or graduate student.

• Media or communications major.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. 

• Proficient with office productivity tools and collaboration platforms; ability to learn new systems quickly.  

Internship Location: United States of America, Work from Home

Schedule: Flexible 20 - 30 hours per week

Duration: 6 months
