Education Advisor – Portuguese and Spanish speaker | Brazil or Colombia

Bayswater Education was established in 2017 by a team of experienced professionals in the international education industry. The business is for profit, with a social mission at its core. Our one-for-one commitment means that for every week of tuition a student studies with us, we provide a week of education to underprivileged people in the markets from which our students are recruited.

We aim to inspire and educate the next generation through a global network of colleges, initially focused on English and French language courses for international students. Our offer also includes career-focused short courses, as well as summer and year-round group programmes.

Position Summary, Key Duties and Responsibilities

The Education Advisor is responsible for managing prospective student enquiries and supporting sales activity in the Brazilian and Colombian markets, with potential support for the wider Latin American market. The role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, including confidence communicating by phone, and a courteous, professional approach when representing Bayswater Education.

• Respond to sales enquiries received by phone, email, the website and marketing channels, including social media, Google Ads and online directories.
• Understand prospective students’ needs and advise them on suitable courses, study destinations and the enrolment process.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the company CRM, including enquiry details, follow-up information, activities, tasks and sales outcomes.
• Follow up with prospective students in a timely and organised manner, manage an active sales pipeline and work towards agreed targets.
• Support marketing and business development activities to promote Bayswater Education and its schools in the Brazilian and Colombian markets, with potential support for the wider Latin American market.
• Provide consistently excellent customer service to students and partners, resolving routine issues promptly and escalating matters when needed.
• Follow agreed internal processes and procedures and collaborate with Direct Sales, Admissions, Marketing and school teams.
• Contribute to a positive student journey by ensuring communications are clear, accurate, timely and professional.
  

Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience

• Fluency in written and spoken English and Portuguese and Spanish.
• Previous sales experience, ideally in the education industry, study-abroad sector or a related service environment.
• Experience communicating with customers or students from different cultural backgrounds; international study or work experience is an advantage.
• A third language is desirable: English proficiency beyond the required level, or another additional language, is an advantage.
• An undergraduate degree in business, marketing, sales, languages, tourism or a related discipline is desirable.
• Customer service experience is desirable.

Requirements: Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to build rapport and conduct effective sales conversations.
• Well organised, accurate and able to manage a varied workload, multiple enquiries and follow-up deadlines.
• Comfortable working towards goals and sales targets and managing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Confident using digital communication tools and CRM systems; previous CRM experience is an advantage.
