Key Responsibilities

  • Review and moderate user-generated content submitted across social media platforms in Dutch, ensuring full compliance with platform-specific community standards and content policies.
  • Identify, escalate, and action potentially harmful, offensive, or policy-violating content including hate speech, misinformation, graphic material, and spam within established response timeframes.
  • Accurately classify and document content decisions using internal moderation tools and case management systems, maintaining detailed and precise records.
  • Engage with Dutch-speaking users in a professional and empathetic manner when communicating moderation decisions, appeals, or policy clarifications.
  • Monitor trends in harmful or abusive content within the Dutch-language social media space and provide actionable feedback to team leads and quality assurance teams.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including trust and safety specialists, policy teams, and quality analysts to uphold the highest standards of content integrity.
  • Participate actively in ongoing training sessions, calibration exercises, and policy update briefings to ensure moderation decisions remain accurate and consistent.
  • Meet and consistently exceed defined performance metrics including accuracy rates, productivity targets, and quality benchmarks set by the social media client.

Requirements

  • Native or fluent Dutch language proficiency (both spoken and written) is absolutely essential for this role — this is a Dutch-speaking position and Dutch language skills will be assessed during the recruitment process.
  • Valid EU passport or relevant documentation confirming the right to work within the European Union (mandatory).
  • A genuine understanding of and interest in social media platforms, online communities, digital culture, and internet trends within Dutch-speaking markets.
  • Strong critical thinking, sound judgement, and the ability to make consistent, policy-aligned decisions under pressure in a fast-paced social media environment.
  • High level of emotional resilience and professionalism, with the ability to manage exposure to potentially sensitive or distressing content while maintaining objectivity and wellbeing.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong written communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a diverse, multilingual team.
  • Previous experience in content moderation, trust and safety, customer support, or a related field within the social media or digital industry is considered a significant advantage, though not strictly required.
