We are currently looking for a District Sales Manager to lead sales activities across Northern Spain (Galicia, Castilla y León, Asturias, Cantabria, Basque Country, La Rioja, and Navarra) and Portugal.

Position Overview

As District Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing sales within your assigned territory, promoting Hayward’s comprehensive product portfolio, and strengthening relationships with distributors, pool professionals, and key market stakeholders.

You will identify market opportunities, analyze market trends, develop sales strategies, and support customers through training, presentations, and business development initiatives.

Based in Portugal and working from a home office, the role involves frequent travel throughout the region, with approximately 4–5 months of cumulative travel per year.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Drive sales growth and market penetration across Northern Spain and Portugal.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, distributors, and industry stakeholders.
  • Identify new business opportunities and emerging market leaders.
  • Support the implementation of sales and marketing programs designed to increase market share.
  • Provide recommendations for strategies and initiatives to further expand Hayward’s presence in the territory.

Market Analysis & Reporting

  • Maintain comprehensive regional profiles including customers, competitors, and industry contacts.
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive activities.
  • Prepare regular reports detailing sales performance, market conditions, opportunities, and challenges.

Customer Training & Product Promotion

  • Deliver product training, seminars, and technical presentations on Hayward’s product range.
  • Promote both legacy products and new technology solutions.
  • Represent Hayward at industry trade fairs and exhibitions, either directly or alongside distributor partners.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, and Logistics teams across Hayward Europe.
  • Collaborate with the Senior DSM Iberica in developing territory strategies and business plans.
  • Contribute to the overall success of Hayward Europe through effective communication and teamwork.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience in a related industry.
  • English proficiency (minimum B1 level).
  • Strong computer and digital skills.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively.
  • Experience in the swimming pool industry is considered a strong advantage.
