Director of Warehousing Europe (m/f/d)

About the Team:

The Director of Warehousing, Europe, is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all warehousing operations across multiple European locations (9 Distribution Centers; more than 2 000 FTE). This role ensures the efficient storage, handling, and distribution of automotive aftermarket parts while aligning with the company's strategic goals. The Director will lead initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and ensure high service levels to customers and stakeholders.

• Lead the management of all warehousing facilities, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
• Develop and implement strategic initiatives for warehousing that align with broader business goals, focusing on efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Oversee and mentor warehouse management teams across various locations, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Control and optimize warehousing budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations while meeting service level agreements.
• Drive the adoption of new technologies and best practices to improve warehouse management systems, inventory accuracy, and workflow efficiency.
• Ensure all warehouses comply with health and safety regulations, leading initiatives to maintain a safe working environment.
• Work closely with supply chain, logistics, procurement, and sales teams to ensure seamless operations and alignment with business objectives.
• Provide regular reports and insights on warehouse performance, including key metrics, challenges, and improvement opportunities.
• Lead key warehouseing projects. Ensure timely and successful project delivery, meeting scope, budget, and timeline requirements.

Your profile as Director of Warehousing Europe (m/f/d):

• Bachelor or Master’s degree, at least 10 years of professional experience
• Proven track record in senior warehousing or logistics management roles within the automotive aftermarket or a related industry. Experience in managing multi-site operations across Europe is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and drive high performance.
• Ability to develop and implement long-term strategies that align with business objectives.
• Solid understanding of budget management and cost control in a warehousing environment.
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Deep understanding of health and safety regulations and the ability to implement effective safety programs.
