The Director of Volunteer Programs is responsible for the strategic design, implementation, and growth of volunteer initiatives, including Ambassador and Peer Support programs. REPORTS TO: Vice President of Volunteers
COMPENSATION: $90,000-$100,000 annual salary; Healthcare benefits are available for this role.
ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW:
The Colorectal Cancer Alliance is a national nonprofit organization committed to ending colorectal cancer within our lifetime. We help patients, families, survivors, and caregivers navigate diagnosis and treatment options, connect them with those who can share experiences and knowledge, and identify resources to meet their needs. We partner with healthcare professionals and social influencers to raise awareness of preventative screening, and we collaborate with researchers to better understand the disease and fund critical research. Our efforts are urgent, effective, and efficient because we believe that tomorrow can’t wait.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Director of Volunteer Programs is a strategic leader overseeing the design, implementation, growth, and continuous evolution of programs that connect and activate volunteers, patients, survivors, caregivers, and advocates around the Alliance’s mission. This role develops strategies that deepen engagement, build community, grow the volunteer base, expand mission participation, and create opportunities to support fundraising and organizational growth.
The Director establishes the systems and operational excellence needed to support enterprise-wide volunteer programs, including the Ambassador and Peer Support Programs, while identifying new ways to mobilize the Alliance community through volunteerism, advocacy, awareness, events, peer-to-peer engagement, and fundraising.
Working collaboratively across the organization, the Director fosters meaningful volunteer experiences, builds sustainable program infrastructure, and cultivates engaged champions who expand the Alliance’s reach and advance its strategic priorities and long-term impact.

Competitive non-profit salary, typically ranging from $90,000-$100,000, based on experience and qualifications.
