At Foot Locker, the Director, Strategic Initiatives – Global Agentic Competency Center will initially lead the buildout of a captive Global Agentic Competency Center (GCC/ACC) in Bangalore, India. This role owns the strategy, roadmap, governance, and delivery model for the GCC/ACC initiative while establishing scalable practices to support future enterprise-level strategic initiatives.
This role sits within the Office of Technology team, which owns department-level organizational change management and communications. It leads a team of direct reports and partners across senior leadership, technology, HR, Finance, Legal, Engineering, India-based GCC/ACC leadership, and external partners to translate strategic priorities into structured plans, measurable outcomes, and scalable ways of working.
Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
- Lead the GCC/ACC initiative from strategy through execution. Define and drive the roadmap for entity readiness, talent ramp, technology enablement, operating model design, and governance.
- Create a scalable model for future strategic initiatives. Establish repeatable program structures, governance routines, planning standards, and delivery practices that can be leveraged beyond GCC/ACC.
- Shape the ACC operating model and technology workforce strategy. Define how the center operates, how work is governed, and how global technology teams collaborate in new ways, in partnership with Product, Agile Enablement, and DSG ways-of-working leaders.
- Advance a unified Product and Engineering operating model. Partner with Product and Technology leadership to bring Product and Engineering teams closer together, evolving shared operating rhythms, governance, and ways of working in tandem with the global operating model established through Product and Agile Enablement.
- Govern workforce strategy and IPT resourcing design. Manage governance for ideal product team headcount, roles, and resourcing structures in partnership with Product, Agile Enablement, Finance, HR, and Compensation, helping improve operating-model efficiency and strengthen alignment across technology leadership, product management, and enabling business capabilities.
- Orchestrate future DSG/Foot Locker technology integration initiatives. Coordinate future integration efforts in tandem with the GCC/ACC buildout and operating model work, helping maintain high-performing teams, align ways of working, and sustain technology delivery effectiveness across the combined organization.
- Lead and develop a team of direct reports. Set priorities, coach talent, manage performance, and build a high-performing team capable of driving strategic programs.
- Orchestrate cross-functional execution. Partner across Foot Locker, HR, Finance, Legal, Engineering, India-based GCC/ACC leadership, and external vendors to align dependencies, remove blockers, and deliver outcomes.
- Own governance, communications, and change coordination. Facilitate leadership reviews, prepare executive-ready updates, manage escalations, and support stakeholder readiness through the Office of Technology.
- Drive planning, prioritization, and benefits realization. Translate strategic objectives into integrated plans, milestones, KPIs, resource needs, and measurable outcomes.
- Manage risks, issues, and dependencies. Identify risks early, drive mitigation plans, escalate appropriately, and keep teams aligned to timeline, scope, budget, and quality expectations.
- Enable global ways of working. Establish effective collaboration routines across geographies, time zones, cultures, and functions.
- Champion continuous improvement. Evaluate program effectiveness and improve processes, delivery practices, and ways of working.

- This role does not independently own enterprise change management or operating-model decisions; it supports readiness, adoption tracking, and coordination with HR and transformation partners.
- This role does not directly manage India-based GCC/ACC teams; in-country operations and people leadership are owned by GCC/ACC site leadership.
