Job Summary
The Development department is AIUSA’s primary driver of income generation and supports AIUSA’s mission and Amnesty International’s global human rights initiatives. The department’s goal is to ensure long-term financial sustainability by identifying new revenue streams, while also prioritizing retention, engagement, and upgrades of our existing supporter base through extraordinary donor experiences that inspire them to become life-long supporters.
The Director, Digital Fundraising (“Director”) is a strategic leader who will grow Amnesty’s digital fundraising program at a momentous time in the fight for human rights. The role will be responsible for overall supporter lifecycle strategy across email, SMS, web, and other owned digital channels.
The Director is skilled at developing and deepening supporter commitment to meet bold conversion, retention, and revenue goals in service of advancing human rights around the world. This person is asking questions like: How do we inspire people who care deeply about human rights to contribute financially? How do we build lifetime value and grow monthly and midlevel giving to sustain grassroots movements? How do we create and deliver supporter experiences online that inspire greater engagement and investment in our mission?
The position reports to the National Director of Digital Engagement, works in partnership with the Senior Digital Advertising Strategist, supervises the Digital Production Manager and Supporter Lifecycle Coordinator, and collaborates with teams across Development, Campaigns, Marketing and Communications, and Movement Building and Member Engagement to ensure Amnesty’s digital program is best leveraged to deepen supporter commitment and lifetime donor value.
This position handles confidential and sensitive matters and is not covered under the collective bargaining agreement.
