Purpose

The Director of Delivery serves as the anchor for execution excellence across the Audience Activation practice, translating strategic vision into consistent, high-quality delivery that builds client confidence and enables growth.
 

This role is responsible for:

  • Ensuring operational excellence and delivery predictability at scale
  • Embedding long-term strategic intent into daily execution through close partnership with Strategy leadership
  • Driving innovation across delivery through AI, automation, and continuous improvement
  • Developing high-performing teams that evolve from onboarding to fully independent, accountable contributors

Core Responsibilities

Delivery Excellence & Predictability

  • Maintain rigor in capacity planning, staffing models, and delivery management
  • Ensure consistent execution across accounts, proactively mitigating risk and minimizing escalations
  • Establish operational standards, rhythms, and governance to drive predictability and efficiency
  • Strategic Integration
  • Partner with Strategy leadership to embed long-term priorities into day-to-day delivery
  • Ensure delivery teams understand and can articulate how their work supports broader strategic goals
  • Translate strategy into executable frameworks across teams and accounts
  • People Leadership & Team Development
  • Coach and develop Delivery Managers to balance:
    • Efficiency and operational discipline
    • Innovation and continuous improvement
    • Strong people leadership and team engagement
  • Champion growth and utilization of tenured associates, expanding skillsets and enabling mobility
  • Establish clear pathways for associates to progress from onboarding to independent contribution

Practice Optimization & Innovation

  • Identify patterns and insights across accounts to inform practice-wide improvements
  • Drive adoption of AI, automation, and new capabilities to improve speed, quality, and scale
  • Ensure delivery insights contribute to the innovation pipeline and strategic initiatives

Financial & Business Management

  • Own financial performance across assigned accounts, including:
    • Revenue, expense, and margin targets
    • Utilization and efficiency metrics
  • Ensure budgets, forecasts, and delivery plans align with corporate expectations

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 10+ years of relevant experience in client-facing delivery leadership
  • Proven experience leading complex delivery models (email, digital, direct marketing, or similar)
  • Strong financial acumen across revenue, expense, and margin management
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills across all organizational levels
  • Experience mentoring and developing high-performing teams

  • Master’s Degree or agency experience leading large-scale delivery organizations
  • Deep knowledge of Acxiom products, data, and activation solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to drive transformation through standardization, automation, and innovation
  • Ability to balance operational rigor with strategic vision
