Job Summary:
We’re seeking a strong, ambitious and eager Paid Media Buyer to help grow our paid media buying team. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing, agile team where you will gain hands-on mentorship from paid media, communication and strategy experts.
We are looking for someone who appreciates the career opportunity in front of them and is ready to dive in, do great work and grow into a highly strategic paid media expert under our team’s guidance.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Campaign Set-Up & Hands-on-Keyboard Management
- Platform Execution: Assist with campaign building, maintenance, and optimizations across Google Ads and Meta. We aim for high accuracy and strong attention to detail, but when mistakes happen, we learn and grow from them as a team.
- Campaign Operations: Help maintain the accuracy of insertion orders, campaign frameworks, and budgets to ensure our campaigns are pacing to target.
Paid Media Strategy
- A Growing Strategic Mindset: We’ll mentor you on the complex stuff. We are just looking for someone who is starting to think about the why behind the levers they are pulling—not just the how—and is eager to develop those strategic muscles.
- Holistic Planning: We want you looking at the bigger picture. You’ll develop a strong understanding of how search and social interact, eventually using data to help recommend how our cross-channel investments can work together to achieve client KPIs.
- AI Integration: Lean into AI tools (like Claude and Gemini) to streamline campaign research, speed up your performance analysis with high accuracy, and optimize your day-to-day workflows.
Storytelling & Performance Reporting
- Insight Generation: Pull reports to help uncover actionable insights that drive campaign growth and optimize our media buying efforts.
- Developing the Narrative: Assist in translating data into clear, helpful insights. You will help build presentation slides and support the team in answering ad hoc client questions regarding paid media campaign performance.
- Metric Analysis: Monitor key performance metrics, learn how they differ across platforms, and understand how reporting data ties back to our clients' business goals.
Who You Are:
- Endlessly Curious: You are hungry to gain more experience across paid media platforms and have an inquisitive mind for continuous learning.
- Organized & Autonomous: Manage multiple daily tasks with structure and composure. We provide robust project management and QA support to help you succeed, with the goal of you taking more and more ownership of your workstreams over time.
- Growth Oriented: You have a growing knowledge (or strong desire to learn) other social media platforms and ad tools, including Reddit, Programmatic, Amazon Ads, and Apple Ads.
- Highly Coachable: You are highly receptive to feedback and view coaching from senior team members as the fastest way to accelerate your career.
- Hungry & Humble: You bring a phenomenal attitude and a high EQ to the (virtual) office every day. You thrive in a fully remote world, operate as a true team player, and appreciate the agility of a boutique agency.
- A Strategic Thinker: You ask thoughtful, strategic questions—not just to clarify a task, but to deepen your understanding of the business objective in front of you.
- Composed & Independent: You can manage day-to-day campaign executions with increasing autonomy, always knowing exactly when to raise your hand for help.
What You Have In Your History:
- Media Buying Experience: 1-3 years of hands-on digital media buying experience, ideally within an agency or fast paced in-house environment.
- Budget Management: Familiarity with budget management, tracking pacing, and ensuring campaigns deliver properly.
- Paid Media Platform Fluency: Solid hands-on experience with Google Ads and Meta; exposure to Reddit, Programmatic, or other emerging channels is a bonus.
- Active Certifications: Current Google Ads and Meta certifications (or the drive to get them fully updated immediately upon hire)
- Campaign Data Translation: Experience extracting platform data to help build clear reports or presentation slides for internal teams or external stakeholders.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Sedentary work that primarily involves prolonged periods of sitting at a desk
- Light work that could include carrying 5 pounds
- Keyboarding
