Role
- Lead, develop, and improve the Procurement Services organization, with full responsibility for team performance, capability development, and organizational growth
- Own and continuously evolve the procurement service delivery model, ensuring efficient and scalable operations across Business Units
- Translating Business Unit demand into clear priorities, structured workflows, and resource allocation, ensuring reliable execution through the team
- Drive process excellence and standardization, optimizing procurement service processes such as PR validation, PO processing, approvals, and invoice handling
- Ensure compliant procurement operations, maintaining adherence to internal policies, governance standards, and approval frameworks
- Act as the central escalation and stakeholder interface for Business Units, ensuring transparency, customer satisfaction, and strong collaboration
- Lead team performance management, including KPIs (capacity, quality, service level), and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
- Manage and balance workloads across teams, resolving bottlenecks and ensuring optimal resource deployment
- Strengthen collaboration with Procurement, SCM IT, Category Management, and other functions to ensure seamless operational integration
- Drive the development and scaling of Procurement Services, including onboarding new Business Units, expanding service scope, and optimizing the operating model
- Promote a service-oriented mindset, ensuring proactive communication with internal stakeholders and suppliers to deliver high-quality outcomes
Profile & skills
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, shared services, supply chain, or operational service environments
- University degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field
- Strong people leadership and team development capabilities, with the ability to inspire and guide diverse teams
- Strong background in operational procurement and P2P processes (e.g., requisition validation, PO management, invoice handling)
- Business-oriented mindset with structured problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with clear customer focus
- Ability to manage complexity, prioritize effectively, and coordinate cross-functional activities
- High accountability and ownership for service quality and team performance
- Collaborative, service-driven, and solution-oriented personality
- Experience with ERP and procurement systems (e.g. SAP or similar) for managing workflows, tracking activities, and supporting team execution.
- Proficient in Microsoft365 suite (Teams, Sharepoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Language skills: English - Business-proficient, German - fluent
