AI Summary

Define and own the architecture that connects MPLC's systems, data, and platforms to ensure a scalable and sustainable technology estate. Lead the design of integrations and platform standards to create a connected, governed, and future-ready environment.

About MPLC

MPLC is the legal way to show movies and TV in public or commercial spaces across the globe. For over 30 years, we’ve been the trusted partner to major Hollywood studios, independent producers, and the wider creative ecosystem, ensuring content creators are paid fairly and organisations respect copyright.

About Global Technology Services

GTS is technology at MPLC, all of it. And we are honest about where we are: we are rebuilding and elevating our technology capability, from the ground up and by design. New platforms, new data foundations, new roles: this team is being built for what MPLC becomes, not what it was. You will own real outcomes early, automate the repetitive rather than absorb it, and help shape the rebuild rather than inherit someone else’s. Technology is the engine of how MPLC grows. People are the fuel. AI is the turbocharger. That is where you come in.

The Role in Two Bullet Points
  • Define and own the architecture that connects MPLC's systems, data and platforms, ensuring the technology estate scales in a structured and sustainable way.
  • Lead the design of integrations, systems of record and platform standards that create a connected, governed and future-ready technology environment.

We're looking for a Data & Systems Architect to help shape MPLC's technology future.

Reporting to the CIO, you'll take ownership of the overall architecture of our technology estate, covering systems, data, integrations and platform design. You'll help define how our applications fit together, where critical business data should live and how information moves across the organisation.

Working closely with the Head of Business Applications, Analytics Engineer, Developer and key business stakeholders, you'll ensure technology decisions support the wider goals of the business. You'll establish standards, guide platform selection, design integration patterns and help create a technology estate that's easier to maintain, scale and evolve.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys turning strategy into reality. You'll be expected to influence direction, document decisions, test ideas and work alongside the team to bring architectural designs to life.

You'll Love This Role If...
  • You have experience designing and managing architecture across multiple platforms, systems and data environments.
  • You understand how CRM, finance, data and business applications work together within an organisation.
  • You have strong knowledge of Salesforce from a platform and integration perspective.
  • You're comfortable working with APIs, integrations and modern approaches to connectivity.
  • You enjoy solving complex problems and bringing structure to environments that have evolved over time.
  • You can balance technical best practice with practical business needs.
  • You like taking ownership, making evidence-based decisions and seeing your ideas delivered.

  • You'll be MPLC's first dedicated architecture hire, so there won't be an established architecture function waiting for you.
  • This role is as much about influencing people and decisions as it is about technical expertise.
  • You'll need to be comfortable making recommendations and providing clear direction across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Some systems and processes have developed organically over time, so part of the role is creating clarity, consistency and structure.
  • We need someone who's practical and delivery-focused. Well-designed diagrams are helpful, but only if they lead to better outcomes.
• Salary band: £85,000-£120,000 depending on experience.
• Remote Working with occasional travel.
• 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays
• Private medical insurance (AXA), including dental, optical and 24/7 GP access.
• Life assurance at 3x base salary (Legal & General).
• Salary sacrifice pension with Aviva, 4% employer contribution.
