Job summary

Health Futures is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist with strong communication skills for a contract position. The successful candidate will support accurate data entry, maintain data integrity, and communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure high-quality data management in a healthcare environment. 

 

Job Responsibilities 

  • Accurately input, update, and maintain data in internal databases and systems. 
  • Validate and verify data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency. 
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies by coordinating with relevant stakeholders. 
  • Generate routine and ad hoc reports as required. 
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive data, including personal health information, in compliance with PHIPA. 
  • Communicate clearly with internal teams (clinical, admin, finance) to gather or clarify information. 
  • Respond to data-related inquiries professionally and promptly. 
  • Support data audits and quality assurance initiatives. 
  • Maintain organized electronic records for efficient retrieval. 

 

Job Qualifications and Requirements 

`Education & Experience 

  • Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, or related field. 
  • 1–3 years of experience in data entry, clerical, or administrative roles. 
  • Experience in healthcare or regulated environments is an asset. 

`Technical Skills 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). 
  • Experience with databases, CRM systems, or EMR/EHR systems preferred. 
  • Typing speed of 50+ WPM with high accuracy. 

`Core Competencies 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Effective time management and organizational skills. 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. 
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently.
