Responsibilities


As a Data Entry Specialist, your primary duties will include:
 

  • Accurately entering and updating large volumes of information into company databases and computer systems.
  • Verifying data for accuracy and completeness, identifying and correcting any errors or inconsistencies.
  • Reviewing source documents for deficiencies and resolving discrepancies by using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the team leader for resolution.
  • Maintaining the confidentiality and security of all company and client data.
  • Generating reports, storing completed work in designated locations, and performing backup operations.
  • Complying with data integrity and security policies to ensure data is handled responsibly.
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure company-wide data consistency and quality.



 

Qualifications


To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:
 

  • Proven experience in a data entry role or a similar position.
  • Excellent typing speed and accuracy with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel.
  • Familiarity with administrative duties and data management software.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; further computer training or certification is a plus.
