Cost Estimator

In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing project specifications, materials, labor, and time requirements to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates. As a Cost Estimator, you will play a critical role in helping our company maintain budgetary discipline and ensure profitability by forecasting costs accurately and identifying potential financial risks early. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost estimation within the healthcare or related industries, excellent numerical and analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. You will work closely with procurement, project management, and finance departments to gather necessary information and develop thorough cost analyses. Responsibilities

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments to gather pricing information.
• Develop detailed cost breakdowns including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead.
• Conduct risk assessments and identify potential cost variances.
• Prepare and present detailed estimation reports to management and stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress and update cost estimates based on changes or unforeseen factors.
• Maintain and update cost databases to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in cost estimation, preferably in healthcare or pharmaceutical industries.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills with proficiency in estimation software and spreadsheets.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to interpret technical documents and drawings accurately.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Familiarity with cost control techniques, budgeting processes, and financial reporting.
