The Financial Controller will own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes while managing cash flow, budgeting, and financial reporting. They will also oversee day-to-day financial operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with leadership to provide actionable financial insights.
We're a growing technology and business services company backed by Pine Services Group, a private equity firm building a portfolio of category-leading ERP and consulting businesses. We help mid-market organisations run their finance and operations better — and we're scaling fast across the UK and Ireland.

Who We Are
We're part of the Pine Services Group family of companies — operators, not just investors, building something built to last across the UK, Ireland, and beyond.
Who We Need
We're looking for a Financial Controller who's ready to own the numbers and help build the finance function as the business scales. You're comfortable in a lean, fast-moving environment, you don't wait to be told what needs fixing, and you bring the rigor of a controller with the mindset of a builder. If you thrive on ownership and want to shape financial operations across a growing UK/Ireland footprint, this is your seat.
What You'll Do
Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Prepare and review financial statements in line with UK/Irish GAAP requirements
Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting across the business
Oversee AP/AR, payroll coordination, and day-to-day financial operations
Ensure compliance with UK and Irish tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements
Partner with leadership to provide financial insight that drives decision-making
Build and strengthen internal controls and financial processes as the company scales
Support audit processes and liaise with external accountants/auditors
What We're Looking For
Requirements:
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a senior finance role
Strong knowledge of UK and/or Irish statutory and tax requirements
Hands-on experience managing month-end close and financial reporting
Fluency with US GAAP
Nice to Haves:
Experience in a PE-backed or multi-entity environment
Familiarity with ERP/accounting platforms (Sage, NetSuite, or similar)
Experience operating across both UK and Irish entities
