About Aeon Health
Aeon Health is building the future of clinician-centred healthcare technology.

We believe healthcare technology should reduce complexity—not add to it. Through intuitive workflows, thoughtful architecture, deep integrations, and reliable support, we help healthcare practitioners work more efficiently and reduce administrative burden so they can focus on what matters most: patient care.

We build with a high bar for reliability, privacy, security, and trust. As Aeon grows, we’re focused on building technology and operational foundations that can scale responsibly while continuing to meet the evolving needs of practitioners, patients, and the healthcare ecosystem.

About the Operations Team

Operations work across Aeon to strengthen how the company runs and enable effective execution. We partner with teams across the organization to build systems, improve processes, coordinate strategic initiatives, and remove operational barriers to growth.

Each team member has primary areas of ownership, but we work collaboratively and flex as business priorities evolve. This means contributing beyond your core work-streams when your skills and perspective can help move an important company priority forward.

About the Role

As Aeon’s compliance and regulatory obligations expand, we are looking for a Compliance & Operations Specialist to strengthen the systems, documentation, and coordination that support our compliance, certification readiness, and operational governance priorities.

Working cross-functionally with teams across Aeon and external specialists, you will progressively take ownership of assigned compliance and operational work-streams—developing and maintaining documentation, coordinating requirements and contributors, tracking remediation activities, and driving assigned initiatives through completion.

Success in this role means creating clarity and momentum across complex initiatives, strengthening Aeon’s regulatory readiness for audits, assessments, certifications, and expansion into additional jurisdictions, and building practical systems that can scale as the company grows.

What You’ll Do

Your primary areas of focus will include:

  • Strengthen governance programs. Maintain and improve governance documentation, policies, standards, registers, review cycles, and decision records so Aeon’s governance practices remain current, clear, and actionable.
  • Coordinate compliance and assurance activities. Support Aeon’s compliance and assurance programs, including SOC 2, PIPEDA compliance, ISO 9001, and additional compliance frameworks and certifications adopted as the company grows. Coordinate evidence, maintain control documentation, track findings and remediation, and keep owners and timelines moving.
  • Advance regulatory readiness and geographic expansion. Research relevant privacy, security, quality, and regulatory requirements; translate findings into practical work plans and documentation; maintain Aeon’s regulatory readiness roadmap; and coordinate the internal and external contributors required to move initiatives forward.
  • Strengthen technical governance documentation. Partner with Engineering and technical stakeholders to document security controls, policies, procedures, and governance practices; map controls to applicable frameworks; and maintain clear, audit-ready documentation and evidence.
  • Improve operational systems and documentation. Develop SOPs, improve workflows, strengthen knowledge and documentation management, and identify practical opportunities—including the thoughtful use of AI—to make operational processes more efficient and scalable.
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives through completion. Identify and coordinate the stakeholders, subject-matter experts, and external specialists required for assigned initiatives; maintain clear ownership and timelines; and ensure consistent follow-through.
  • Identify and escalate risks and improvement opportunities. Monitor assigned workstreams for emerging requirements, gaps, or risks and ensure material issues are surfaced to the appropriate owners.

What You Bring

We’re looking for someone who enjoys bringing structure to complex work and combines strong operational judgment, exceptional documentation skills, technical curiosity, and the ability to learn quickly in a regulated environment.

  • Relevant experience. 3+ years of experience in operations, governance, compliance, or a related field, ideally with exposure to a regulated environment.
  • Exceptional writing and documentation skills. You can turn technical, regulatory, legal, and operational information into clear, accurate, practical documentation.
  • Cross-functional coordination. You can move initiatives forward across teams, manage priorities and dependencies, maintain clear ownership and timelines, and escalate risks when needed.
  • Integrity, professionalism, and discretion. You exercise sound judgment and handle sensitive and confidential information with care and professionalism.
  • Organization and attention to detail. You’re highly organized, able to manage competing priorities, and consistently produce accurate, high-quality work.
  • Initiative and resourcefulness. You take initiative, navigate unfamiliar requirements, find the right information and expertise, and keep work moving while knowing when to collaborate, ask questions, or seek guidance.
  • Curiosity and learning agility. You’re naturally curious, eager to understand the business and technology, and quick to build the knowledge needed to take on increasing complexity and responsibility.

Nice to Have

You don’t need experience in all of these areas. Experience with one or more would be an asset:

  • Canadian healthcare technology, digital health, clinical operations, electronic medical record systems, or another regulated SaaS environment.
  • Experience with Canadian healthcare privacy and regulatory requirements, Privacy Impact Assessments, or comparable requirements in other jurisdictions.
  • Experience with SOC 2, ISO standards, audits, certification readiness, risk management, vendor governance, or policy lifecycle management.
  • Familiarity with SaaS, cloud environments, information security, or related technical concepts.
  • Experience with GRC or compliance automation platforms for control monitoring, evidence management, audit readiness, or compliance workflows.
  • Contract administration or experience coordinating compliance and governance requirements with legal counsel or other specialists.

What Success Looks Like in 12 Months

By the end of your first year, you will:

  • Develop a strong understanding of Aeon’s business, technology environment, governance practices, and compliance obligations.
  • Independently coordinate assigned compliance and operational workstreams, keeping requirements, owners, evidence, timelines, and next steps organized and moving forward.
  • Contribute meaningfully to Aeon’s readiness for audits, assessments, certifications, and evolving regulatory requirements by identifying gaps, coordinating remediation, and escalating risks appropriately.
  • Maintain clear, accurate, and audit-ready governance and compliance documentation across Aeon’s systems and GRC environment.
  • Be a trusted partner to Engineering and other teams, able to understand technical and operational context and translate it into practical governance documentation.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes, documentation, and governance practices as Aeon continues to grow.

Why Join Aeon?

At Aeon, governance is more than compliance—it’s a strategic capability that supports trust, operational excellence, and sustainable growth.

You’ll have the opportunity to build your expertise, take on increasing responsibility, and help shape the systems and practices that enable a growing health technology company to scale responsibly.

If you’re curious, resourceful, and energized by turning complexity into clarity, we’d love to hear from you.
