Make Protein Candy and Pulp & Press Part of the Culture
We’re looking for the person who makes Protein Candy part of today’s trending culture: on camera, in the comments, and ahead of the trend. You’ll be the face of the brand and the creative brains behind it.
Protein Candy is redefining the $40B candy category with functional, better-for-you products. Since launching in mid-2024, we've grown into 4,000+ retail doors, including Kroger, Walmart Canada, and Circle K, with thousands more coming online by the end of the year.
Pulp & Press is a legacy cold-pressed juice brand being reinvented. You’ll help bring its social presence back to life, alongside your work on Protein Candy.
The Role
This is a creator role with a strategist’s brain. You’ll create most of our content yourself, run our channels day to day, lead our creator and celebrity partnerships, and build a community that actually wants to hear from us.
As a part of our Brand team, you’ll work closely with our leadership team, celebrity investors, and partners across sales, retail, and lifecycle. If you’re chronically online, love being on camera, and can produce a polished shoot one day and jump on a trend the next, this is your role.
What You'll Own
1. Be the employee face of the brand
- Show up on camera regularly as one of the key Protein Candy personalities: taste tests, trends, behind the scenes, launches, events, and whatever the internet is talking about this week
- Concept, film, edit, and write most of our short-form content yourself, native to each platform
- Plan shoot days with the office to share the story of how the team is building the brand
- Own and evolve our social voice alongside our Brand Lead and Leadership team, so it feels unmistakably Protein Candy, never corporate
- Travel to trade shows, retail launches, samplings, and other events to lend a hand on the ground and capture content in the moment
2. Own the channels
- Run TikTok and Instagram end to end, and whatever channel our audience moves to next
- Plan social campaigns, series, and recurring formats that build over time, while staying flexible enough to pivot when the moment calls for it
- Make sure every post and social activity has a clear purpose
- Build and manage the content calendar, balancing planned moments (launches, retail, campaigns) with cultural content at lightning speed
3. Manage our social community
- Live in the comments: reply to comments, DMs, tags, and mentions quickly with personality
- Find and engage the people already talking about us, and the ones who should be
- Turn fans into advocates through UGC, giveaways, seeding programs, and social collabs
- Flag issues, complaints, or anything brewing early, and route them to the right person
- Act as backfill for customer support as needed
- Create and manage social automations
4. Lead influencer and creator partnerships
- Find, engage, and nurture relationships with creators and celebrities who genuinely fit the brand and our audience, and understand what part each can play in building our brand
- Negotiate with creators and their agents to land the best possible deal on rates, deliverables, usage rights, and exclusivity
- Brief, brainstorm, and co-create with them so the content feels native to them and true to the brand
- Produce alongside creators: on set, on calls, or in the edit, making sure the final content lands
- Manage the roster from outreach to product send to posting, and track what each partnership delivers
5. Produce and edit content across the brand
- Shoot, produce, and edit content you’re not in, including product, creator, and partner content
- Work directly with our celebrity investors to plan and create content together, bringing the polish, preparation, and discretion that relationship deserves
- Build and maintain a go-to roster of production talent (shooters, editors, models, stylists, locations) so we can execute quickly, no matter what
- Keep a clean, searchable asset library with defined licensing rights so great content gets reused, not lost
6. Drive cultural relevance
- Stay plugged into trends, memes, sounds, and platform updates, and move on them fast
- Bring a steady flow of fresh, social-first ideas that make people want to share us
- Keep an eye on competitors and adjacent brands, and spot what we should do (or never do)
7. Grow and measure
- Own organic KPIs: views, engagement, follower growth, and share of conversation
- Test hooks, formats, and features constantly, and double down on what works
- Partner with paid and lifecycle to boost winning organic content
You're the Right Fit If You:
- Have 5+ years creating content and managing organic social for a brand, with proven growth in views, engagement, and community
- Have been the face of a brand account or built your own following, and we can see it in your work
- Have run creator and influencer partnerships from outreach to posted content, including negotiating with talent, agents, and managers
- Have produced shoots with talent, ideally including high-profile or celebrity talent
- Are natural and confident on camera, with a personality that fits a brand with cool factor
- Have strong filming, editing, and design skills (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Canva, or similar) and a visual eye that holds up from phone video to polished partner shoot
- Write sharp, platform-native copy with a feel for voice, humour, and timing
- Know TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and Threads inside out, including TikTok Shop or live shopping
- Are comfortable in Meta Business Suite, TikTok Business Center, ManyChat, and social analytics tools
- Understand content licensing, usage rights, and creator contract basics
- Plan campaigns and calendars that tie back to clear business goals, and use data to decide what to make next
- Are chronically online in the best way, and know what’s trending before it peaks
- Are available on evenings, weekends, launches, and events when the community needs us
- Can travel for trade shows, retail launches, and events (valid passport required for US travel)
- Are polished, discreet, and professional with investors, celebrities, agents, and partners
- Are highly organized, fast, and resourceful. You find a way to get content made, even on short notice.
Nice to Haves
- Background in CPG, snacks, fitness, wellness, or lifestyle brands
- An existing network of creators, talent, and production crew
- Experience with influencer platforms or social tools
- Retail or experiential marketing experience
- Based in the GTA or Southwestern Ontario
