Role Purpose

The Commercial Intern will support the Commercial team in both operational and strategic initiatives across pricing, partnerships, campaigns, and market analysis.

This is a hands-on opportunity to gain exposure to how a high-growth fintech commercial function operates, with a strong focus on data, cross-functional collaboration, and customer insights.

What You’ll Do

Commercial Analysis & Reporting

  • Support tracking of corridor performance metrics including volumes, revenue, and active customers
  • Assist in preparing weekly and monthly reports for stakeholders
  • Conduct competitor pricing analysis across key markets
  • Analyse campaign and pricing test performance

Pricing & Campaign Support

  • Assist with the coordination of pricing tests and reactivation campaigns
  • Work closely with BI, Pricing, and Customer Communications teams
  • Maintain trackers and documentation for ongoing initiatives

Partner & Payments Research

  • Research potential payment partners, fintech players, and market trends
  • Support the preparation of partner briefs and comparison analysis
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding documentation

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Support collaboration across Commercial, BI, Product, Marketing, and other teams
  • Attend meetings, take notes, and track action items
  • Maintain SOPs and initiative tracking documents

Ad Hoc Projects

  • Contribute to campaign planning and execution activities
  • Support additional Commercial team initiatives as required

What We’re Looking For

Education

  • Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field (completed or in progress)

Skills & Experience

  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Analytical mindset with a high attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Exposure to Power BI or similar tools is advantageous
  • Exposure to AI tools such as Copilot is beneficial

Remuneration

  • Monthly stipend of R16 000
