SUMMARY

The Training Specialist will be responsible for preparing new ACM employees to meet their role expectations by delivering the curriculum outlined in the new hire onboarding program (ACM Academy). As part of this, the Training & Development Specialist is also responsible for creating and maintaining all training resources on ACM’s internal wiki. In addition, this person will work to identify gaps in knowledge across the team and put training/communication strategies in place to bridge these gaps. They will work closely with ACM leadership to continuously develop and refine existing curriculum as well as provide routine mentoring, feedback and progress evaluations of new employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver effective training to drive expected results in both group and individual (virtual) classroom settings.
  • Educate new employees on the life cycle of clinical trials, the role and responsibilities of ACM Project Managers, and current best practices.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the training of new processes and systems.
  • Prepare and maintain Study Management curriculum and training materials used during the onboarding of new Study Management employees.
  • Train newly-hired Study Management employees as part of their onboarding.
  • Provide ongoing feedback to Study Management leadership regarding the status of current training activities and interaction with new and existing employees.
  • Provide demonstrations of system functionality as necessary.
  • Participate in process improvement and new system roll-out initiatives from a workflow analysis and education perspective.
  • Assist with monitoring completion of training requirements for new and existing Study Management employees.
  • Monitor, track and analyze training effectiveness and make amendments to the program as needed.
  • Deliver formal and individual training as needed for remedial and ongoing training as identified by Study Management leadership.
  • Provide mentorship and continuous support as needed.
  • Understand and follow company policies and procedures while always maintaining patient and client confidentiality, both inside and outside of the workplace.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3 years of training, instructional design or related experience required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred; concentration in Instructional Design, Communications, or the Sciences is a plus.
  • Professional training certification preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, PPT, Excel).
  • Prior experience in clinical trials preferred.
  • Prior project management experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written)
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Self-motivated and results-driven
  • Tech-savvy and able to pick up new systems quickly
  • Keen attention to detail

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
