The Client Service Specialist serves as the primary contact for employer groups and brokers, managing plan inquiries, eligibility, and claims processing. They also assist with onboarding, regulatory compliance, and cross-departmental collaboration to ensure data integrity and client satisfaction.
We are seeking a Client Service Specialist with a background in self-funded health insurance plans and third-party benefit administration (TPA). This role is essential in delivering superior service and support to employer groups, brokers, and internal teams.
You must have a desire to solve problems quickly and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of internal and external partners. You’d be joining a highly functioning team that supports the overall success of our company’s growth strategy.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO IN THIS ROLE:
- Serve as the day-to-day contact for assigned employer groups and broker partners.
- Respond promptly to client inquiries regarding plan design, eligibility, claims processing, and benefit administration.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and responsiveness in all interactions.
- Assist in onboarding new groups, ensuring proper setup of plan documents, eligibility files, and billing processes.
- Research and resolve client issues related to claims, enrollment, and system discrepancies in collaboration with internal departments.
- Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements (ERISA, HIPAA, ACA) and company policies.
- Support the preparation of client reporting, including claims utilization, cost trends, and performance summaries.
- Assist account managers with renewal processes, plan changes, and open enrollment support.
- Track and maintain accurate client records in CRM and administrative systems.
- Work closely with underwriting, claims, and IT teams to resolve issues and maintain data integrity.
- Provide feedback to leadership on process improvements to enhance client satisfaction.
HERE'S WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- 3+ years in a client-facing service role with self-funded health insurance and/or third-party benefit plan administration experience
- Firm understanding of health insurance terminology, funding styles, and health savings accounts.
- Exceptional problem-solving and customer services skills with the ability to manage and prioritize various cases.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
