Client Accounting Advisor

We are expanding our e-commerce practice and looking for an experienced Client Accounting Advisor to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who understands the fast-moving world of e-commerce and wants to work directly with clients such as:

• Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Brand Owners
• Amazon FBA & Multi-Channel Sellers
• Shopify & WooCommerce Store Operators
• Subscription Box & Recurring Revenue Businesses
• E-Commerce Aggregators & Holdcos

Duties and Responsibilities

As a Client Accounting Advisor, you'll serve as a trusted financial partner to multiple e-commerce clients, overseeing day-to-day accounting while advising on the financial decisions that drive their growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations for assigned clients
• Oversee Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and cash flow
• Prepare and review weekly, bi-weekly, and/or Month-End Financial Statements and Forecasts
• Reconcile General Ledger activity and ensure data accuracy
• Build and maintain client relationships through proactive, advisory-level communication
• Analyze financial trends and advise clients on opportunities for growth and efficiency
• Advise clients on COGS, contribution margin, inventory valuation, and unit economics
• Recommend and help implement automation tools and process improvements
• Work with software like QuickBooks Online, A2X, Shopify, Amazon Seller Central integrations, and Fathom

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in public accounting or similar role
• E-Commerce accounting experience preferred (DTC, marketplace, or subscription models)
• Knowledge of GAAP (CPA license a plus)
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Strong communication skills and client-facing confidence
• Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented
• Experience with inventory accounting, COGS management, sales tax nexus (Avalara/TaxJar), or payment platform reconciliation (Stripe, PayPal, Shopify Payments) is a plus
• Familiarity with QuickBooks Online & Bill.com required
