Job Summary:

Pets Plus Us is seeking a Claims Processor. The Claims Processor will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and processing insurance claims and determining policy coverage for the claimed loss and appropriate compensation amount.

Job Location: Remote – Canada

Compensation: $40,500 CAD annually

Main Responsibilities:     

  • Works closely with veterinary hospitals and policyholders to evaluate and review a pet’s medical history to determine a baseline of health.
  • Reviews policies to make eligibility determination.
  • Creates and issues claims decisions to policyholders.
  • May order medical records from providers.
  • May communicate with clients and providers during treatment.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • 3+ years in the veterinary field if a licensed technician or 5+ years in the veterinary field if an unlicensed assistant.
  • Must be located in Canada.
  • High school or secondary school diploma or GED required.
  • Associates Degree or equivalent work experience (one-year relevant experience is equivalent to one-year college).

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Veterinary technician licensure strongly preferred.
