This role is employed through RemoFirst, Porch Group's Employer of Record partner in Colombia. Your employment will be legally administered through RemoFirst, while your day-to-day work is led by Porch Group.

  

Job Summary

Primary role is to provide excellent customer service to callers, customers, agents, and business partners. Responsible for taking inbound phone calls and emails, verifying coverage, setting up claims, sending inspection request and alerts to adjusters and examiners, requesting checks, attaching documents and emails to Image Right, documenting activities in the claim file.

A Claims Associate is a critical position responsible for assisting and interacting with insureds, claimants, adjusters, agents, underwriters, examiners, contractors, restoration and other vendors and experts in a team environment. 

 

What You Will Do As A Claims Associate

  • Obtaining critical claims information and setting up a claim in claims system (PTS)

  • Answering incoming phone calls

  • Submitting claim and inspection request to adjusters and vendors

  • Investigates prior claims and related information for adjusters

  • Investigates weather and storm information using the internet

  • Supports mail distribution, filing and scanning· Managing diary entries

  • Maintaining positive internal and external work relationships

  • Assisting insureds, agents, and claimants with information on a claim, questions or concerns when appropriate

  • Inputting expense and claims checks as needed· Supporting the Claims Department

  

What You Will Bring As A Claims Associate

  • High School Diploma or GED required 

  • Minimum of one year of related claims or customer service experience preferred 

  • Exceptional customer service skills 

  • Ability to work independently with little employee supervision 

  • Gathers and analyzes information skillfully 

  • Follows policies and procedures 

  • Sets up claims and submits to adjusters in a timely manner 

  • Manages difficult or emotional customer situations 

  • Shows empathy 

  • Maintains confidentiality 

  • Writes clearly and informatively 

  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness 

  • Works with integrity and ethically 

  • Prioritizes and plans work activities 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 

  • Experience working with global and/or US based business teams

  • Excellent written and communication skills in English language 

  • Workspace: A quiet space to work, an internet connection of at least 30 Mbps download | 10 Mbps upload 

  

What You Will Get Supporting Porch Group 

Monthly Salary: COP 3,200,000.00 to COP 3,600,000.00
