Chief of Staff

About the Role

Join a seed-stage, AI-native commercial insurance startup as the CEO's operating partner. You'll take ownership of cross-functional priorities and help the team execute, with room to grow into a general management or functional leadership role.

What You'll Do

• Manage day-to-day operations, partner follow-ups, and pilot execution.

• Drive prioritization, KPI tracking, and communication across the team.

• Lead go-to-market efforts, partnership diligence, and vendor onboarding.

• Build financial models, board materials, and analysis for business decisions.

• Define the Office of the CEO and assess whether to build a special projects team.

What We're Looking For

• At least 5 years of experience in strategy, operations, or BizOps, ideally spanning top-tier consulting and high-growth technology or startup operations.

• Experience owning and scaling a function, with at least 2 years at one company.

• Early-stage B2B experience owning go-to-market, sales, or business development operations.

• A record of independently taking ambiguous projects from problem definition through execution and measurable outcomes.

• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, including Google Sheets and SQL, and experience using AI and LLM tools in day-to-day work.

• A bachelor's degree and the ability to work effectively with limited direction.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary range: $160,000 to $210,000 USD. The role is at a seed-stage company, and equity upside may appeal to candidates. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Remote within the United States, with San Mateo, California as the primary location.
