Location: Remote

Compensation: $60,000-$65,000/ Salary

Status: Full-Time, W2 Employee

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM

Job Summary

Manage insurance A/R, denials, rejections, payments, and aging accounts through resolution. Medicare Part B billing for Atlas Medical, Review claims and provider documentation for billing accuracy, coding compliance, medical necessity, and payer requirements. Audit CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, modifiers, and E/M coding, identify root causes of denials and documentation deficiencies, and provide corrective feedback. Collaborate with coding, QA, credentialing, and billing teams to resolve issues, support audits and appeals, and reduce recurring billing and coding errors.

Qualifications

To thrive in the role of Medical Billing & Insurance Specialist you must:

• 5+ years of professional medical billing, coding, and auditing experience required.
• Strong experience working in insurance A/R and aging accounts.
• Experience resolving claim denials and rejections through final resolution.
• Experience with payment posting ERAs/EOBs, adjustments, and reconciliation.
• Medicare Part B, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and commercial payer experience preferred.
• Strong experience reviewing provider documentation for coding accuracy, medical necessity, and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, modifiers, and E/M coding.
• Experience providing coding feedback and identifying documentation deficiencies and trends.
• Mobile medicine and specialty coding experience preferred, particularly primary care, podiatry, dermatology, and behavioral health.
• CPC or comparable coding certification preferred.
• Elation Billing experience a plus.
• Ability to relate well to staff and other professionals
• Service oriented mindset & Compassionate and caring attitude.
• Effective verbal & written communication & time management skills
• Valid Driver's License with proof of current insurance & reliable transportation.
• Valid AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Current CPR Certification & Proof of Negative TB Test (we can test)

Preferred:

• Medicare Advantage and Medicaid experience.
• Elation Billing experience.
• Mobile medicine/provider services/specialty experience.
• Specialty coding experience, particularly primary care, podiatry, dermatology, and behavioral health.
• CPC or comparable coding certification.
