Position:               Central Operations Specialist

Type:                     Fulltime Permanent

Compensation:    $25.00 to $32.00 / hr.  Depends on Experience

Schedule:             Monday to Friday

Location:              ANY CANADIAN VELOCITY BRANCH 

 

The Central Operations Specialist plays a pivotal role in managing and optimising the flow of parts within an organisation, collaborating closely with various internal departments. This role will support various locations throughout the organisation. 

 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Monitor and review accounting schedules to provide training and quality assurance within parts accounting processes
  • Support Parts Managers with payroll time edits in Dayforce and Procede
  • Develop processes and policies to continuously improve the parts department operations
  • Contribute to strategic projects within the parts department
  • Promote successful customer experiences by managing both internal and external communications
  • Oversee daily orders, open POs, backorder items, and open invoices
  • Assist AP in Processing POs and invoices in OnPhase for Vendor payments
  • Review suspended invoice process
  • Manage the parts return process for damaged or incorrect parts
  • Follow up on discrepancies in rebate process
  • Perform other related duties as required

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Experience as a billing clerk or basic accounting knowledge preferred
  • Proficient in remote working tools (Zoom, file sharing, etc)
  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills
  • Inventory control experience an asset
  • Heavy duty truck parts experience an asset
  • Time management skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite or similar program
