The Solution Manager is responsible for defining, designing, and delivering end-to-end business and technology solutions that meet customer, operational, and strategic objectives. This role serves as the bridge between business stakeholders, product teams, technology teams, and external partners to ensure solutions are aligned with organizational goals, provide measurable value, and can be implemented effectively.

The Solution Manager leads solution development from concept through implementation, managing requirements, stakeholder alignment, business cases, and execution planning while balancing customer needs, business priorities, and technical constraints.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Strategy & Planning

• Identify business opportunities and translate them into scalable solution concepts.
• Develop solution roadmaps aligned with organizational strategy and objectives.
• Evaluate market trends, customer needs, and competitive offerings to inform solution design.
• Build business cases and value propositions for proposed solutions.

Requirements & Solution Design

• Gather and document business, operational, and technical requirements.
• Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to define solution scope and success criteria.
• Create solution frameworks, process flows, and high-level architecture concepts.
• Ensure solutions are feasible, scalable, compliant, and aligned with enterprise standards.

Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the primary liaison between business, product, technology, operations, and vendor teams.
• Drive consensus among cross-functional stakeholders with competing priorities.
• Communicate solution strategy, progress, risks, and recommendations to leadership.
• Manage stakeholder expectations throughout the solution lifecycle.

Delivery & Implementation

• Partner with Product Managers, Project Managers, Engineering, and Operations teams to implement solutions.

Performance & Continuous Improvement

• Establish KPIs and success metrics for delivered solutions.
• Monitor performance and adoption after implementation.
• Identify opportunities for optimization and enhancement.
• Drive lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in solution management, product management, or related disciplines.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed environment.
• Strong business process analysis and requirements gathering capabilities.
• Ability to translate complex business needs into practical solutions.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing multiple priorities and initiatives simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within healthcare, technology, financial services, or consulting industries.
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, or SAFe methodologies.
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture principles and system integrations.
• Experience developing business cases and financial models.
• Relevant certifications such as:
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
  • SAFe Product Manager/Product Owner
  • PMP
  • Lean Six Sigma
  • Business Analysis certifications (CBAP)

Work at Home Requirements: To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria: At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested. In certain roles, the minimum recommended internet speed required by Humana may not be sufficient for business needs. Humana reserves the right to require associates to upgrade their internet service if necessary. Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

 

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

 

$126,300 - $173,700 per year

 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
