Position Overview
The Client Billing Supervisor oversees daily billing operations, ensuring accuracy in invoices, account management, and accounts receivable processes. This role leads a team, monitors aged accounts, resolves payment issues, and collaborates with internal teams and leadership to maintain strong financial performance. The Supervisor also supports staff development, analyzes trends, and drives process improvements to enhance efficiency and overall revenue cycle success.
What You’ll Do
- Manage billing operations, fee schedule updates, and client maintenance requests
- Monitor billing work queues, aged accounts receivable, and payment discrepancies
- Ensure invoice accuracy and process billing corrections and adjustments
- Communicate with corporate payers, Revenue Cycle leadership, and executive leadership regarding account issues and resolutions
- Generate reports, analyze productivity metrics, and provide trend analysis to management
- Review and approve employee scheduling requests and conduct performance discussions and audits
- Support training, and ongoing staff development initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve operational and system-related issues
- Create and manage operational, IT, maintenance, and support tickets
- Track departmental goals, productivity, and performance outcomes
- Maintain accurate records and provide recommendations for process improvements and system cleanup initiatives
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of related experience/training (or equivalent education and experience)
- Knowledge of office software and medical billing software
- Professional, polite, and customer-service oriented
- Ability to work well with others in a close office setting
- Strong focus and ability to concentrate for extended periods
- Team-oriented, cooperative, and adaptable
Physical Requirements
- Able to work at a computer for extended periods.
- Occasionally lift up to 15 lbs.
