We are seeking a practical and commercially minded Business Process Improvement & AI Manager to improve how work gets done across TydeCo. This role combines process redesign, AI-enabled solutions, workflow automation and change management to eliminate inefficiencies, strengthen adoption and deliver measurable operational improvements. Working closely with business leaders, IT and system owners, the successful candidate will turn real business needs into scalable, secure and sustainable solutions across our global organisation.

The Business Process Improvement & AI Manager partners with business leaders to improve how work gets done. By combining process improvement, AI-enabled solutions, workflow automation, and thoughtful change management, this role helps teams eliminate inefficiencies, adopt new ways of working, and deliver measurable operational improvements across the organization. The role will directly configure and implement straightforward automations while partnering with IT, vendors, or technical specialists on more complex integrations.

As a platinum Sage partner, TydeCo PTY LTD and our partner entity TydeCo U PTY LTD. specialize in delivering cutting-edge ERP and HRP solutions such as Sage 300 Cloud and Sage Intacct. We also offer Outsourced Accounting solutions to help clients streamline financial operations and scale with confidence. Our dedication to innovation, excellence, and client success ensures businesses not only adopt our solutions but thrive in competitive markets. If you're ready to lead in a fast-paced, high-impact environment, we invite you to be part of our journey.

This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer. This position has a flexible 8-hour workday. In practice, this may resemble a schedule of approximately 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM SAST to provide meaningful overlap with U.S. business hours, while remaining flexible based on business needs. Due to the global nature of the company, occasional meetings and interviews outside of standard business hours will be required. We will work with these to minimize disruptions, and meetings outside of standard business hours are anticipated to occur 3-5 times per week

Key Responsibilities

Global Support

  • Operate within a global framework, ensuring adaptability to support teams, meet deadlines and participate in virtual meetings across multiple time zones based in Canada, South Africa, U.K. or the U.S., as needed.
  • Collaborate with international stakeholders, adjusting to varying schedules and priorities as needed.
  • Facilitate seamless communication and coordination across teams to support  operational efficiency.
  • Maintain flexibility in scheduling to accommodate time-sensitive tasks and cross-regional collaboration.

AI Adoption & Organizational Change

  • Lead initiatives that improve the way teams work through practical application of AI, workflow automation, and process redesign.
  • Act as a consultative partner to teams and leaders: understand how a group actually works today before recommending how AI or automation could improve it, rather than leading with the tool.
  • Identify and address the real barriers to adoption — skill gaps, workflow disruption, trust and data concerns, unclear ownership — and tailor the approach team by team rather than applying one playbook everywhere.
  • Build simple, repeatable enablement materials (guides, examples, office hours, short trainings) that let teams keep using new tools after the initial rollout, without ongoing hand-holding.

Process Improvement & Systems Efficiency

  • Map existing workflows across functions (project delivery, business development, operations, finance) to find where AI or automation would meaningfully improve speed, quality, or consistency.
  • Recommend and help implement process redesigns grounded in how the work actually gets done, prioritizing improvements with clear, demonstrable value over technology for its own sake.
  • Build a prioritized backlog of improvement opportunities in partnership with functional leaders, and sequence it against realistic implementation capacity.
  • Identify where information is manually re-entered, re-formatted, or re-explained across systems, and design ways to streamline those handoffs — whether through native integrations, workflow automation tools, or simpler process changes.
  • Leverage AI through MCP (Model Context Protocol) server connections to automate client-facing workflows, including configuring and implementing Sage Intacct integrations that reduce manual work in client delivery.
  • Partner with IT and system owners to ensure any new automation or integration is built on a stable, supportable foundation rather than a one-off workaround. Track and report on efficiency gains — time saved, error reduction, faster turnaround — in terms that are meaningful to both the teams doing the work and firm leadership.

AI-Enabled Solutions & Agent Development

  • Design and build AI agents and other AI-enabled solutions for both internal operations and external/client-facing use, scoped to real business needs rather than built for their own sake.
  • Ensure any agent or automation built is documented, supportable, and owned by a clear team or individual post-launch, applying the same sustainability standard used in other process improvements.
  • Partner with IT and system owners when agent/automation work touches core systems (e.g., Sage Intacct, client data), so implementations are secure and stable rather than one-off workarounds.

Project Ownership & Partnership

  • Maintain a regular reporting cadence with the CEO on adoption progress, process wins, and where the organization is struggling or stalling.
  • Evaluate and prioritize improvement opportunities based on business impact, implementation effort, organizational readiness, and strategic priorities.
  • Bring recommendations and a clear point of view, not just status updates — surface risks, blockers, and decisions early.
  • Operate independently in a lean, high-autonomy environment, driving initiatives to completion without requiring active CEO management.
  • Run AI and process-improvement initiatives as real projects: clear scope, timeline, milestones, and accountability — not open-ended experiments.
  • Manage multiple initiatives concurrently across different teams, keeping stakeholders informed and unblocked without requiring constant oversight from leadership.
  • Develop practical standards for evaluating, documenting, and scaling AI and automation solutions so improvements remain sustainable, supportable, and aligned with business needs.
  • Establish clear ownership with functional leaders for process decisions, team participation, and sustained adoption following implementation.

Key Attributes

  • Consultative Influence: builds trust with teams and leaders; drives change through partnership rather than mandate.
  • Practical AI & Automation Fluency: understands what these tools can and can't do, and applies them where they create real value. Hands-on ability to connect AI models to business systems (e.g., via MCP) and configure client-facing platforms like Sage Intacct.
  • Project Discipline: turns ambitious ideas into scoped, deliverable initiatives with clear ownership and timelines.
  • Adaptability — tailors approach to each team's pace, culture, and readiness rather than applying a single playbook firm-wide.
  • Clear Communication: translates technical or process complexity into language any audience can act on.
  • Business Judgment: distinguishes between what can be automated and what should be automated, balancing value, complexity, risk, and user experience.
  • Process Improvement: maps how work is currently performed, identifies root causes and inefficiencies, and designs practical improvements that hold up in daily use.
  • Systems Thinking: understands how processes, data, technology, roles, and decisions interact across functions and anticipates the downstream effects of change.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience in business process improvement, digital transformation, business systems, operational excellence, technology adoption, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional process or technology initiatives from discovery through implementation and sustained adoption.
  • Experience mapping workflows, facilitating discovery sessions, identifying root causes, and redesigning business processes.
  • Hands-on experience implementing low-code workflow automation or AI-enabled business solutions in an organizational setting.
  • Strong project management skills, including scope definition, prioritization, stakeholder coordination, risk management, and outcome measurement.
  • Ability to influence leaders and teams without direct authority and adapt the approach to different levels of readiness.
  • Strong business judgment and the ability to balance value, effort, cost, risk, supportability, and user experience.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

 Preferred Experience

  • Experience in professional services, accounting, consulting, or another client-delivery environment.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Copilot, Power Automate, Zapier, Make, n8n, or comparable platforms.
  • Experience working across multiple countries, business units, or time zones.
  • Training or certification in project management, Lean, Six Sigma, change management, business analysis, or process improvement.
  • Experience connecting AI models to business systems via MCP (Model Context Protocol) or comparable frameworks; familiarity with Sage Intacct configuration and implementation a plus.
