POSITION SUMMARY: 


The Business Development Executive will be at the forefront of driving revenue growth and expanding our market presence with ideal clients.  This leader will operate as a skilled sales hunter, identifying and cultivating new business opportunities aligned with the ideal client sales strategy. They will leverage their extensive industry knowledge and strategic insights to create revenue growth with new clients. This role will be instrumental in establishing and nurturing key client relationships, negotiating profitable deal structures, and securing high-value long term client partnerships for VIRA.   With a focus on proactive market engagement and a solid alignment to target market objectives, the Business Development Executive will lead the charge in growing revenue while supporting our portfolio profitability metrics.  

 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Take the lead in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities through targeted prospecting, networking, and market research to introduce VIRA Insight’s offerings. 

  • Team with Vice President Customer Success and Sales Leader to develop and implement strategic account strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets 

  • Prepare sales presentations, proposals, and pitches that effectively communicate the value proposition of our company’s offerings to ideal clients; maintain new relationship development goals related to opening doors with new high value clients. 

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including marketing, engineering & development, project management, and operations, to align business development efforts with company objectives. 

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with potential ideal clients, understanding their needs and aligning VIRA value proposition to meet their specific requirements. 

  • Manage the sales velocity and pipeline, tracking leads, opportunities, and deals through the awareness, engagement and onboarding stage of the sales process using CRM tools. 

  • Provide accurate sales forecasts, performance metrics, and regular reports to senior management around the progress of the ideal client targeting objectives. 

  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to identify new business opportunities. 

  • Performs other related duties as assigned. 

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: 

This position does not have direct reports. 

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Excellent C-Level presentation, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to influence and build rapport with key stakeholders. 

  • Strong time management and prioritization skills. 

  • Self-directed and motivated, with the ability to effectively operate independently. 

  • Keen attention to detail. 

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and prioritize high-value opportunities. 

  • Strong financial acumen in the commercial space. 

  • Knowledge of market research, sales and negotiating principles. 

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field preferred; combination of education and experience will be considered. 

  • 5 + years of demonstrated success in sales hunting and business developing, specifically B2B. 

  • 2+ years of sales experience in Store Fixtures, Financial Services, Healthcare, or adjacent industries. 

  • Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, and database management programs specifically the Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint. 

  • Proficient in common CRM, including Salesforce.
